COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
American Amber ale with a Colorado punch. So what’s a Colorado Amber ale? It’s unfiltered, slightly hoppy, with a touch of sweet tones finished by a touch of malt. This isn’t just an average amber, it’s the amber that will bring Serenity to your life!

Bottle. Head is initially small, frothy/fizzy, off-white, mostly diminishing. Body is hazy dark amber, unfiltered. Aroma is moderately malty (toasted bread/grain, caramel, cookie), lightly to moderately hoppy (flowers, apricot), lightly yeasty (cobwebs, basement), with notes of peach and black tea, hint of ginger. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery/syrupy texture, lively carbonation, slightly metallic. Nice aroma starts things off well enough, but the mouth experience is a little odd (I almost want to say "gritty") and a bit too syrupy sweet. Close but no cigar.

bottle pours a clear, dark hued red with off white head. Aroma is caramel, sweet hay, some butter. Medium bodied, very smooth, creamy feeling. Flavor is big and malty, caramel, buttered toast, with a touch of hops on the finish. I found it quite nice.

On tap at 2011 Garden Grapes and Hops at the Denver Botanic Gardens. Hazy dark amber with a big head. Aroma of toffee, some pecans, and a hint of cocoa. Taste is really smooth and assertive. Nice nutty toffee, light hop bitterness, very creamy and sweet with light toasty chocolate notes.

Tap at the brewpub. Pours lightly hazy dark amber with a large foamy off-white head. Aroma is lightly treacle and slightly veg. Foamy carbonation. It’s malty, and there’s enough veg/noble hop to break the sweetness. Maybe some citrus breaks out. Full bodied for an "amber". Surprisingly good.

Sweet and smokey aroma with hints of molasses and raison. Clear carmel colored, whithe head. A little too fizzy and thin, but with nice sweet malt flavors and a little more of that smoke. More malt accented and stronger than other plain ol’ amber ales. I think this beer has more of a Scottish heritage rather than Irish.
