4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20 ads135 (514) - Lawrence, USA - APR 21, 2012
This is a solid wheat and one of the best beers from Crabtree. Has the typical wheat appearance and body, but the taste and aroma are somewhat unique. The flavor is defined by wheat, but there is an interesting sweetness, part banana, part citrus fruit that keep you coming back. Great summer beer.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 notalush (3742) - Denver, Colorado, USA - SEP 24, 2011
Bottle - moderate haze and high carbonation - nose is heavy on the dry, spice phenols (clove, sage), but there is an undercurrent of lightly sweet wheat malt and mild banana - quite inviting, really - light to medium body, with a moderate acidity - quite dry and spicy, with strong peppery phenols and a crisp, crackery maltiness - light toasty wheat - finish is bone dry, dusty, almost flinty, with lingering spiciness, light hop character and a bit of lemon/citrus - there is something about the finish that tastes more Belgian than hefe - maybe the particular yeast character - either way, this beer is solid - not quite a traditional hefe, but it is really hitting the spot right now.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 eboats (1067) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - AUG 11, 2011
Yellow with a foamy white head. Lots of wheat with a little banana in the aroma. Mildly sweet and mildly bitter. Flavor is a more malted wheat beer.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 rougeau13 (1219) - Texas, USA - APR 21, 2011
hazy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma of wheat, bubblegum, earth and some slightly spicy hops. The flavor is a little spicy and full of wheat and yeast, like a German hefe thats light on the citrus. Moderate carbonation and a pretty full body for an American wheat ale. Perhaps a bit on the yeasty side, but despite that, this is a respectable wheat ale.

Slightly hazy with a nice orange hue and a sudsy head. Soft palate. Chewy wheat; yeasty. Nice and zingy hops had some tasty flavors. Subtle fruit. Moderate bitterness; balanced. Decent beer, though not overly exciting.
3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 bhensonb (7583) - Woodland, California, USA - OCT 9, 2010
Bottle from the brewpub. Pours orange gold with a white or off-white head. Aroma seems mildly spicey. Med body/frothy carb. There’s a little citrus and some yeast/spice. Like it’s struggling to be Belgian. Wheat is detectable, but not the main flavor by far. Pretty drinkable for a wheat.
