Cask, handpump at The Hop Pole, Aylesbury, Bucks, 12th December 2011 Pours day old urine gold with slight haze and white rim of bubbles. Touch thin but with some bitterness and hoppiness, biscuity with a slight Rich Tea element. Its ok but unusually for the Hop Pole this may not be at its freshest. A6 A2 T6 P3 Ov12 2.9

Cask conditioned handpump Criterion Leicester. A slightly cloudy oange coloured beer with a bubbly white head. A little bit of diacetyl. Otherwise fairly cleana nd crisp. Reasonable hopping but nothing out of the ordinary. Drinkable but uninspiring.

Cask conditioned at Birmingham Beer Fest ’11. Gold with white head. Initial farmy note is soon dispersed into a sharp, crisp, hoppy beer with distinct grapefruit notes. I too found it to fizz on the palate, lots of character and very pleasant.

Cask at the Duke William, Stourbridge. Pours a hazy gold with a thin head. Aroma is floral hops with some pineapple. Taste has tropical fruit to start and some mango in the medium bitter finish.

Hand pulled at the Duke William, Stourbridge. Slightly hazy, pale gold, with a thin topping. Smells sweetly of hops. Sweet sherbet fruit in the mouth. Light but tasty hops, which fizz on the tongue. Easy to drink. A really good blend of hops. Very good.
