Hand pulled at the Duke William, Stourbridge. Strangest looking beer I think I’ve ever seen. A mid brown beer which manages to be both opaque and simultaneously luminous. Taste is similarly perplexing, but perplexing in a good way. Definitely hoppy rather than malty, with a smidge (tiny) of roast in the aftertaste, which also sees the citra bloom. Mouthfeel is well balanced, with a bit of fruit. Could almost be a Black IPA, if the hops were more pronounced. Very drinkable, balanced. If it didn’t taste so good, I could swear it was a wrong’un.
