WISEGUY572 (1099), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 20, 2008 A few of their beers are actually good enough to consider drinking out of Athens, but this is not one of them. A pretty straight forward European lager, but one with some flavor, some body, some hops. Indeed, enough body to actually lace the glass. Sampled draft at the brew pubs in Athens.
Beerlando (1237), Orlando, Florida, USA Jul 20, 2008 Multiple draft samples at the brewpub and various other eateries in Athens. Pours a clear, medium-golden color with a small, foamy white head. Sticky, snake-like lacing marks the glass. The aroma shows sweet, pale malts, cereal grains, floral hops, and a touch of lactic creaminess. The flavor shows lightly toasty pale malts, hints of caramel, and a dash of spiced floral hops. Light-medium bodied and moderately carbonated, this one is easy to drink and quite sessionable. Good balance and surprising substance for the style. One of the best pale lagers I’ve ever had, for sure, but of course that isn’t really saying much. Chris_Thomson (183), Luzern, Switzerland Aug 19, 2007 Athens, 07. Tried these beers as a tasters sample at the brew pub. All beers much better than the beer available in 99% of the bars in Athens, but nothing fantastic. This one was the worst of the bunch, still very bland. BelgianBeerGal (883), Sabbatical in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Jul 21, 2007 Tap in Athens. A nice refreshing beer that was better than other standard Greek lagers. Perfect for hot summer in Athens. mabel (1583), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jun 28, 2007 [319-20070525] Tap @ Craft (Athens). Wheat aroma with some alcohol. Clear, golden yellow orange with a medium-lasting creamy white head. Watery grainy wheat flavour base. Light-medium body. OK blending, a bit of a zip but not much.
