Perhaps the best beer of Craft microbrewery. Medium body, nice aromas and flavors with long duration aftertaste. Classic dunkel.

Shared bottle at local tasting. Pours black as Coke with a small off-white head.Aroma is strong nutty malts, light smoke and liquorice. Taste is strong malty, very delicious, sticky caramel, dark chocolate. Light hoppy finish.

Scored a bottle of this while in Rhodes. I love schwarzbiers and this was a pretty good one. Pours a translucent black (surprise) with a thin white head. Aroma is a little absent though, some light toast, maybe a little faint coffee, a touch nutty. Flavor was nice though, nutty, malty, bready, crackers, biscuits and a little bit of toast. Not much hop presence to speak of. Finish was dry and crisp. I enjoyed this quite a bit.

Pours a four finger tan head that fades slowly leaving traces of lace. Black color, no highlights. Light-medium carbonation and light-medium bodied. Oak nose. Flavor is a smokey oak and subdued caramel. Best by Dec 2009. €1.45 ($2.06) for a 330ml bottle from a supermarket in Athens, Greece.

Draft @ brewpub. The color of brown bears and opaque, and at the bottom of the glass is cola-colored. Stable small head. Rich malt sugars. Soft palate. Balanced, clean, and good.

Bottle@Hotel. Black chocolate aroma with some coffee, roasted malts. Black, light brown head, good lace. Starts pretty neutral, then light sweet, hint of cola, some coffee, roasted. Light and watery. Could certainly use some body. A bit one dimensional in the flavour that not very powerful either.

Pours dark brown with a very small head. Nose shows lots of nice dark chocolate and caramel, but very clean underneath. Flavours suggest coffee, cocoa and roasted malt with some faint sweet caramel underneath. Carbonation could be lower.

(33 cl bottle from On the Rocks, Plakias, Crete; Produced on May 25th 2012) Pours a clear dark brown with tan head. Decent retention and good lace. Aroma is definitely toffee and what to me resembles brown ale although it might be schwarzbier as I don’t have much knowledge of the style other than that it is dark and bottom fermented. I don’t detect many fruity esters in this beer. No hops detectable either. Oily texture, soft carbonation, medium body and a sweet finish. Taste follows the nose with sweet toffee being the predominant impression.. Once again pleasant to find well balanced non-pale alesmin the Cretan summer climate. Decently drinkable.
