33cl Bottle on Syros, Greece, at the cinema. Clear reddish amber colour, off white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, lots of caramel. Flavour is sweet, malty, caramel, light nutty, nice hoppy bitter finish. Light to medium bodied. A bit of a one-trick pony, but nice enough.

In bottle; aroma somewhat sweet yet hoppy. Poured a nice brownish red color. Taste was medium body with a little sweetness and hoppiness combined ... sort of reminded me of Palm. Overall a better beer than I expected
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Holmen1 (1075) - NORWAY - SEP 4, 2012
Nice medium sweet flavour, notes of red berries and toffee, moderate hops. Se etter dette neste gang du er i Hellas eller på Kreta!
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 humlelala (691) - DENMARK - AUG 21, 2012
(33 cl bottle @ On the Rocks; Produced on June 19th 2012) Pours a clear, dark copper with medium, white head. Decent retention and good lacing. Aroma is syrup/molasses and dark fruits - definitely the brown spectrum of amber ales and a very, very pleasant suprise to have access to this kind of ale in the hot, Cretan weather. Oily texture, soft carbonation, medium body and a surprisingly (slight) bitter finish for the aroma. I guess this is where we are headed into amber territory. The flavour is another pleasant surprise in that it departs somewhat from the syrupy nose and offers something a bit more biscuity and dry although the molasses are still definitely present.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 BlackHaddock (2365) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - MAY 14, 2012
One of four beers on tap from this brewery offered at a habour side bar in Chania, Crete during September 2008.
Poured into a vase shapped brewery logo’ed glass. It was a glowing reddy brown colour in the afternoon sunlight, clear and clean looking. A smallish cream head sat on top.
The beer was cold (the weather hot), so it was difficult to pick up any huge aromas. I did detect some caramel and possibly some hops too.
The caramel I’d found in the aroma came through into the taste, but it wasn’t a sweet tasting beer by any means.
Crisp and refreshing with a medium body feel to it.
Although it was just what I needed at the time, it wasn’t/isn’t a great beer that I must have again. In fact I didn’t have another one while staying on Crete, so that tells it’s own story.
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20 dreadnord (1000) - San Diego, California, USA - MAR 31, 2012
Pours dark copper with red hues of light peaking through. Small white head recedes quickly. Nose is banana, gummy bears and dark fruit. Flavor doesn’t follow the nose, slightly sweet and slightly bitter with neither one really standing out. I would call it balance but the watered down aspect is taking away from anything enjoyable in the flavor. Mouthfeel is crisp and lively. Medium length aftertaste. Not great by any means, however consider where it comes from. Hats off to Greece for taking a step up.
