May 26, 2009 Bottle from Nightfall, thanks! Golden color. Smoked cheese aroma with beechwood. Milky flavor, lightly smoked, with beechwood and smoked cheese, and hints of peach and apple. Not in any way comparable with the great Bamberg beers, but this is a very pleasant lager!

May 12, 2009 Bottled at Monks Café, Stockholm. Clear amber with a low white foam. Fragile tarry aroma. Medium to light-bodied with notes of licorice and smoked fish. Short finish with notes of peat and straw.

Apr 29, 2009 Bottled at Monk’s Café Wallingatan, Stockholm. Clear amber, coarse head. Smokey beechwood aroma. Fairly sweet with clean rounded mouthfeel. Fruity with smokey sausage aroma and low bitterness. Pleasant, mid intesnity beechwood smoke, but a bit clean in the mouth.

Clear medium amber color with a average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, moderate to heavy smoked, smoked danish salami. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. Body is medium to light, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. [20081230]

Feb 3, 2009 Bottle at chris o’s teabag for 2009 tasting. Alround rating: Just a great clean smoked lager, its a little subtle in the smoke as its mainly in the aroma, but i ended up drinking a whole bottle of the stuff at a tasting of 70ish beers.

Jan 28, 2009 A Mes rate. Bottle at Chris O’s pre NYE tasting. Pale amber with a decent off white head. A straight forward smoky lager with a little extra smoke than you would expect. Straight forward but decent stuff. Nice and clean and drinkable.

Oct 5, 2008 Trovata in bottiglia in un bar ad Hanià, a Creta, e portata in albergo per berla la sera stessa (il giorno dopo sarei partito alle 5 per tornare a casa e non potevo portarle in aereo). Versa colore ambrato con schiuma non molto copiosa però vivace, e perlage accentuato che tradisce la frizzantezza forse un poco elevata; l’aroma è tuttavia fantastico, affumicato ma fragrante. Nel sapore si sprigionano note di castagna e di serata d’autunno. Decisamente la migliore birra greca che io abbia assaggiato.
