COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Spiced Apple Cyser is a sweet mead crafted with 100% raw Ohio wildflower honey, fresh Ohio apple cider, spices, and yeast. This apple pie-inspired cyser can be enjoyed year round, but with cinnamon and nutmeg notes, is always a treat when the air becomes crisp and the holidays approach.

Bottle pour into a snifter. Pours a clear yellow. Aroma is faintly apples and spice with a pleasant, dry honey presence. Taste is sweet and alcoholic. I was hoping it would be more similar to the brothers drake apple pie, but they went lighter on the apples and spices I think with this version.

Sample at the Meadery on 4/5/14. Clear blanc pour with no head and thick, sticky legs. Aroma of apple, cinnamon and slight vanilla. Apple and cinnamon flavor with a bit of vanilla sweetness in the finish.

Sample at the tasting room. Clear pale yellow-gold color with decent legs on the glass. Aroma of cinnamon and apple. Full-bodied with flavors of honey, apples and cinnamon. The finish is sweet with an apple pie aftertaste. Different than the Brothers Drake version, decent overall.

Bottle from Fermentation. Clear golden pour. Sweet honey aroma with distinguishable apple character with hint of spice. Flavor is mostly dominated by honey with spice and apple pushed aside. Dry finish and doesn’t taste like 12%. Not bad.

2/13/13. Sample from a distro. Clear golden pour with touches of brown in there. Lightly spiced nose (thankfully - I hate overspiced beverages) with plenty of apple cider and a hit of honey. The flavor shows apple cider straight away with a bit of cream, sweet honey, and a light touch of holiday spices. Well balanced and tasty.

Sweet apples on the nose with hints of spices. Pours clear with a slight yellow haze. Still. Sweet apples and tart apple skins with hint of cinnamon & nutmeg with a dry finish. Very drinkable.
