>> Murky deep brown pour with red highlights. Beige foam. Nose is pretty nice funk, blackberry, black olive. Taste is blackberry, black olive, red wine, salt, tannic Cabernet barrel, tootsie roll, moderate acid, not really too sour. Aerated, easy palate.

Sample at RateBeer Gallery II. Pour is clear auburn, small tan head, nice lacing. Aroma is brett, oak, vinous, horse blanket. Flavor is the same, quite funky, vinous, red wine, port, lemon zest, light oaky astringence. Medium body, zesty bitter finish. I liked this one.

On tap at Ratebeer Gallery II. Pours dark brown. Inky peaty aroma with sour dark fruits. Flavor is woody and dark without being ’roasty.’ Nice medium acidity rides through the middle. Well put-together.

Tap at Gallery II: Beauty From A Barrel. Pours dark brown with red edges and a creamy beige head. Aroma is sort of sour red/brown with a hint of smoke. Med body. Flavor matches aroma but more complex. Finally some wood comes through. Good stuff!

On tap. Pours with a near black hued body with a moderately sized tan head that fades. Aromas are very funky with leather, brett, horseblanket and manure. Mild wine notes and a lot of alcohol. Flavors are leathery, dark fruits, medium alcohol, funky brett notes. Light wine tannin. Lively carbonation and boozy.

Pours deep brownish red with a thin tan head. The nose is light vinegar, cherries and brown sugar. The taste is high sweet and medium bitterness throughout. The texture is sticky, sharp at moments. The body is light and the finish is long. Nice beer.
