On tap poured a hazy orange color with nice off white head. Aroma was hoppy yet not like most west cost IPA’s. The taste was clean and hoppy with a nice malt profile. Only thing that might make it better would be more flavor hops added. Overall a nice easy drinking IPA.

Shared a pitcher with some friends. Pours orangish, small white head. Spicy and citrus aromas and flavors up front, bitter finish. It was good, just not all that inspirational.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Sven (229) - Lancaster, California, USA - NOV 5, 2004
UPDATED: NOV 6, 2004 Draught at Lucky Baldwins, Pasadena
Hazy golden-yellow with a dense ample white head. Initial taste of banana and clove with a citrus, piney aftertaste (what is this an IPA or a hefe) slight touch of diacetyl. Strong hop bitterness lingers. Soft on the palate. Hop bitterness and aftertaste really grows overwhelming. Very good beer.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 dukefan (213) - Dallas, Texas, USA - OCT 24, 2003
Yet another solid Craftsman offering. With imperial IPAs, I sometimes forget what "regular" IPAs should taste like. But this is an excellent beer - straightforward and pleasant in its presentation of a wonderful hops bouquet and flavor (Cascade?). Was glad to see it on tap throughout Pasadena.

draft @ Father’s Office - after getting used to all of the DIPAs, this is definitely a representation of an IPA. virtually no malt backbone...pure hop bitterness in the initial taste with a spicn, piney hop flavor. solid...i just think i enjoy DIPAs more.

On tap. Decent IPA, about average. Pours a pale color with a hoppy scent with a thin head.

On tap at Lucky Baldwins 6/19/06, this poured a nice golden color with a thick foamy head. Good hoppy aroma, nice floral hops in this one. Also some notes of spices and citrus. Nice bitterness throughout the flavor with a crisp lingering aftertaste. A very good IPA!

Very clean. Has a definite similarity to the red hook ballard bitter. Very refreshing & a great breakfast beverage. Goes great w/spicy food.
