3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Oakes (10941) - Savusavu, FIJI ISLANDS - SEP 6, 2011
Draft. Cloudy dull amber. Earthy aroma of English hops at American levels. Soft fruity character with mellow earthy hops. Well made, but not my preferred hop character.
3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 yackery (142) - California, USA - JUN 7, 2011
Pint draught at Congreation. Persistent head with lots of lacing over a hazy, pale body. Couldn’t catch much aroma or taste except like a good Hefeweizen. Palate is a good, lively one. OK everyday beer describes it.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20 Barreras (610) - Diamond Bar, California, USA - MAY 30, 2011
Pours a clear copper color with aroma of clean water and hops. A light tasting beer with mild complex taste. This beer leaves the palate with light bubbles, making this beer airy and very drinkable. A good everyday beer.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 thebeertourist (4271) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAY 4, 2011
On tap at Lucky Baldwin’s, Pasadena. Hazy copper with a creamy head. Fruity nose. perfumey and strangely spicy caramel flavours. extra point for originality.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 11/20 can8ianben (1229) - Souderton, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 11, 2011
I expected a larger hop presence - it may have been because I sampled this one after some pretty big palate-shattering beers, but I detected little aroma beyond some faint sweet citrusy notes. Appearance was like a golden lager with a thick frothy white head. Flavor profile is smooth sweet up front, some subtle peppery spice, and a faint bitter finish. Very drinkable, but not a "wow" beer.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 BOLTZ7555 (2378) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - OCT 30, 2010
Sampled at the brewery...thanks again Patrick and Mark for making this happen! Beautiful ivory-capped golden tangerine pour that left an intricate web of lacing. Aroma of fruit, bready malt, and bright floral hops. This one starts with some citrus but finishes with roasted malt, raisin, and toasted nuts. Definitely get the English influence here. Very sessionable. Not typically a fan of the style but this really was delicious!
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 BMan1113VR (7382) - Los Angeles, California, USA - JUN 12, 2010
On tap at Mike & Anne’s in Pasedena as Craftsman Pale Ale (I am assuming that it is this). Pours with a hazy golden body and an off-white head. Aroma is fruity, british malts (marris), lightly floral. Taste is floral, but subdued hops and relatively sweet. Lively, dry, grainy and bitter.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 elihapa (1487) - Honolulu, Hawaii, USA - NOV 22, 2009
On tap, Bottle Room. Beautiful pale amber-orange, with a mild scent of herbs and fresh lemon. Flavor starts with a hit of crisp hops, then rounds with toasty malt, some soft nutty qualities, and a mildly bitter finish. A surprising amount of subtlety packed into this beer. Very sessionable.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 beersearcher (1956) - Glendale, California, USA - SEP 3, 2009
Mild and refreshing. Malt and hop in balance. Color and aroma are unremarkable but the taste is dandy.
