Pours a very dark brown color with a small khaki head. Aromas are kind of light and consist of roasted nuts and dark chocolate. Flavors are more of the same but with some breadiness mixed in there. Finishes slightly bitter and the body is a bit watery and thin. A decent but forgettable beer.

A reddish brown ale with a thin mocha head. In aroma, a sweet fruity caramel malt with roasted notes, light beany notes, OK. In mouth, a roasted caramel malt with light watery body, grassy hops, OK. On tap at brewery.

Draft: Poured a brown color with an off white to tan color head. The aroma is light nuts and chocolate. Taste is sour malts, nutty, and nice back end of chocolate.

Pours brown with a tan head. Good lacing. Nose is somewhat like faint caramel. Tastes sweet mostly. Medium body, soft carbonation. Good brew, but I expecting more complexity in the mouth.

On tap at Reilly’s Taphouse. It’s a nice looking dark ale. It has a nice malt aroma with hints of chocolate. The flavor is malt, caramel, coffee & chocolate. A good body & a nice creamy mouth feel. Solid.

Pours a thin head on a brown body. The aroma is a nice mixture of licorice and spice. The taste is nutty, licorice with the mildest lemon bitterness in the background. The texture is smooth with moderate carbonation. A tasty brew.

Draught@ Craftworks Taphouse & Bistro. Hazy brown coloured beer with no carbonation and a small off white head. Rather light aroma. Medium rather sweet palate. FInish is sweet short malty bitter but actually misses taste. No real character.

I can’t see light through this beer, which has a lasting ring head. Its aroma has a hint of coffee in and is a generally treacly and brown aroma.
This tastes slightly watery but fills out on swallowing. Malt-oriented, though there’s a bit of a hop tingle. Some treacle.
Quite solid though not astounding. Does leave some roast, mostly light in nature.
Unusually, Phil did not share this.

1 liter Growler thanks to SHIG, pours dark brown with a medium tan head. Aroma is nutty with tart cherry and cranberry notes. Flavor is toast, light roast and a mellow tartness that I don’t believe is intentional but is nice. Like a traditional sour Porter.
