3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
330ml bottle from The Beer Cellar. White head that settles quickly, well carbonated, not as cloudy as some wheat ales I have had. Citrus peel and peppery coriander in the aroma. Medium bodied and quite pleasant despite all the controversy this brand has caused amongst craft beer lovers in NZ /Australia.

Gak. There is no redeeming this dog pile, it’s thin, tasteless, an abomination and whoever is responsible needs to give themselves an uppercut. Avoid at any cost.

What can I say? Aroma is minimal, Appearnace looks like cat’s urine, everything else is a complete failure. It really is a rubbish beer, and the blurb is total lies. Quote: "Someone should make a craft beer you can actually drink" Craft beer in NZ is exceptional quality and some real champs are being produced. This is just a pathetic example of a big crap brewery trying to muscle in on the little guys. P.S. Leave Emersons alone you a#holes.

I initially view this beer with some skepticism mainly because of the masturbatorial blurb on the back. Putting all that aside, I was pleasantly surprised that a mainstream brewer gave us this. Pale straw colour, hazy with a persistent white head. Aromas of sour lemon predominate with just a twinge of herb. Full, sherbety carbonation with flavours of ripening banana, lemon peel and maybe a lick of orange juice. This is a tangy, refreshing ale and a rather good summery six pack. Just ignore the marketing wank on the label.
