Cloudy brown pour with off white head and lace. Old rotten orange/sewage aroma. Old orange zest citrus, very dry bready flavor, with a funky hop flavor. Thin and fizzy. I will try again on this one next time through. Just not me on this day.

Draft @ the brewery. Pours a hazy murky brown color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty spicy floral hoppy aroma. Fruity malty weak hoppy flavor with hints of caramel. Has a fruity malty hoppy finish.

Very cloudy brown pour. Malty and herbal aroma. Strong with lots of crystal malt and floral hops. Some unpleasant floral and bitter qualities - soap left in the glass??

Sample from a growler. Unfortunately this does not feature my favorite hop profile and instead tastes like a bunch of band aids and fusel alcohol. There is a touch of citrus working its way through which is making it like I don’t want to pour it out. There’s a little big of grassiness working on the back end and finish.

Draft at brewer. Muddy brown pour? with a slight off white head. Scent is light malt and bread? Very sweet citrus and bread taste. Not what I have come to expect from an IPA.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 NachlamSie (2146) - Tennessee, USA - JAN 15, 2011
11 oz. draft pour at the brewery. This is a seriously cloudy beer and dark for the style. Looks aside, it’s tough to pinpoint this as an IPA. It’s got a light palate with a black tea flavor. The bitterness comes out mostly in a grassy or piny way with lots of wooden undertones. Hints at watermelon are also apparent. There is no typical malt sweetness I associate with the style. The finish tastes remarkably like black tea. Quite an unusual beer, but I like it.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a cloudy dirty orange with a white head. Aroma of grapefruit, citrus, tropical fruits, tons of apple skins, and caramel malt. Flavor of apple skins, fruits, lots of lime, caramel malt, and minerally notes. Not very hoppy per se (as in bitter - but there are plenty of fruity hoppy notes). A unique IPA from Craggie.

Lucky enough to have an employee drive me down a growler. Murky brownish amber color with an outstanding hop aroma. very grassy and floral, with light citrus notes. Solid malt backbone, but the brew does have that sharp hop bite in the finish. very impressive for such a small brewery. I am becoming a Craggie fan.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 tronraner (2458) - Walland, Tennessee, USA - DEC 12, 2010
draught at the brewpub. Pours muddy brown with thin whitish head. the aroma is soft grass and a little bit of lemon. The flavor is lemony hops with some floral notes and a little bit of dusty malt. Refreshing in a way, but not an IPA...
