COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Agent Provocateur is a strongly hopped beer - a hybrid of an IPA and a Belgian golden ale. Bright, colourful notes of exotic fruits (pineapple, grapefruit and lime) and spices give way to a solid, long bitter finish. This beer is an excellent aperitif and goes perfectly with spicy food. Brewed by Craig Allan @ De Proef

Bottle (330 ml). Beautiful slightly hazy golden with a medium mostly lasting white head and some lacing. Aroma is of fruity hops along Belgian yeast, some spices and herbal notes. Taste is slightly sweet with grapefruits, spices, a good malt backbone, herbal notes and a moderate bitter finish. Medium body. Spot on carbonation. Dry finish. Very good Belgian Ale. Drinkable and refreshing. Tasty! Just the right amount of spices and nice herbal presence.

Clear, golden appearance. Lightly sweet fruity aroma. Flavour has some spicy, peppery yeast and underlying sweeter, notes. Foams up a lot in the mouth.

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of malt, straw, and spicy hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, over ripe fruits, and spicy hops, leading to a bitter finish.

330ml bottle from Good Spirits Co. Yellow amber, reasonable head. Yeasty resin aroma. Sweet citrus grain flavour. Lemon biscuit aftertaste. Light and refreshing.

Bottle from Drinkmonger. Hazy golden body with a large off-white head. Lively carbonation. Excellent lacing. Aroma of sour lime, grapefruit, lemon juice and cream soda. Flavour of pineapple and tangy yeast with the faintest hint of spice. Medium body with a dry, sticky mouthfeel. Nice fizz. A citrus explosion not quite balanced out by the Belgian yeast and spice notes.

330ml bottle from Great Grog. Pours clear amber, thick white head. Aromas are surprisingly light, citrus and pine, some yeast. Taste is balanced, but I expected more oomph! Perhaps the bar was set to high with the Cuvee d’Oscar thing, which was amazing. This is just good, in comparison.

33 cL bottle at home. Pours almost clear golden with a medium white head. Not much aroma, some spices, malts, bit musty. Taste has malts, spices, caramel and a soft bitterness. Medium body and carbo. Bit bland.

Pours golden orange and quite clear with 1,5 finger head. Aroma has mostly spicy and citrusy hoppiness, with some earthiness, berry bush, gooseberry and little plastic, unfortunately. Taste has again a lot of spices, but more detectable earthiness, berry bush, citrus, grass and twigs. Taste is well balanced. Palate is well carbonated and hoppiness feels on tongue. OK spicy and well balanced belgian ale. There is some flaw in the aroma, but taste is lot better.

Color: clear amber beer with small carbonation and small white foam. Smell: hoppy and fruity nose with a good malt balance. Taste: nice equilibrium of malt and hops, fruity taste. Aftertaste: wet bitterness
