COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Agent Provocateur is a strongly hopped beer - a hybrid of an IPA and a Belgian golden ale. Bright, colourful notes of exotic fruits (pineapple, grapefruit and lime) and spices give way to a solid, long bitter finish. This beer is an excellent aperitif and goes perfectly with spicy food. Brewed by Craig Allan @ De Proef

330 ml bottle.
Pours a hazy bright golden colour with a white foamy head. Aroma of strong grassy hops, burnt bread and some citrus. Flavour of grassy hops, yeast, bready malts, grains, coriander, grapefruit and some weak metallic notes. Light bodied, slick mouthfeel and high carbonation. Finishes yeasty and grassy. Prominent bitterness, but overall an unclean beer.

330ml bottle from beer-city.be

Pours orange with a small foamy head. Aroma of musty fruits, hints of spices, yeast and malts. Taste is stingy, floral and yeasty with notes of spices and malts. Finish is smooth, crisp and slightly hoppy with some floral and fruity notes. Quite hoppy Belgian ale.

Great color. Bright golden hue. Aroma is nice but doesn’t jump out of the glass. Taste: A little on the bitter side with some exotic fruit. Good but not great.

Pours golden with white foam head. Smells of yeast. Tastes of yeast and very mild hops. Taste is short on the tongue.

33cl Bottle, thanks Eric! Slightly hazy golden colour, white head. Aroma is quite floral, fruity, mostly pineapple, hint of citrus. Flavour is light malty, floral sweetness, light soapy/perfume-like, dry, light fruity, some citrus, good dry bitter finish. Light-bodied. Tasty.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours golden in color with a foamy whitish head. Strong notes of lemony fruityness and yeasty spicyness in aroma. Some mild soapy notes are there as well. Fizzy mouthfeel. Flavor is filled with soft, fruity notes, leaning even a bit to the ripe sweet garden fruitiness in this case. Easy drinking and great tasting summer beer. Light grassy notes mixed with the before mentioned sweet and juicy fruityness in finish.

ivory white head that leaves some lacing. copper blond clear colour. strange smell at the beginning that i can only describe as something that reminds me of styrofoam, it disappears after a while. smells alcoholic, caramel sweetness, ester and fruit. tastes fruity sweetness, alcoholic followed by a short dry bitternes that has a wry aftertaste. medium body and lots of carbonation that also quickly escapes. quite thin mouthfeel. bottle 33 cl / best before 6-11-2014

Bottle. Aroma is mild with citrus and floral notes. Taste is definetly IPAish with strong bitter hoppy and lemony notes. You can find the Belgian ale in the background. Nicely balanced.

330ml bottle, BBE 07/11/14. Pours a hale orange with a large and clean white head. Aroma is fruity, citrusy, light gooseberry and white currant. Taste is dry, medium bitter, quite light. Citrusy, lemony, slight touch of grape, touch of Belgian yeast characters in the background. Surprisingly light taste considering all things. Palate is medium with some carbonation. Forgettable really.

hophop (27) - SCOTLAND - APR 27, 2013
Tasted many times in France on draft and in bottles. At best this is an original beer marrying the spiciness and roundness of a belgian ale with the citrus character of American hops. At worst the Belgian character dominates and the hops are obscured leaving a good but less interesting Belgian style, hoppy beer. On draft this beer can be excellent and truly original defying style characterizations (it’s definitely not an IPA).
