375ml green corked and caged bottle, label features nondescript modern art, poured into a snifter glass. Appearance is hazy dark orange with a large beige head, that reduced fast, leaving a little lacing on the glass. Aroma of mango, orange peels, lemon zest, blackcurrants and herbs. Flavours of mango, lemon zest, orange peels, passion fruit, black currants, spices and a hint of caramel. Taste is light-medium sweet and medium bitter. Palate is medium bodied, soft texture and average carbonation. Cuvée d’Oscar is a complex intriguing beer, with every sip you discover something new. A great beer that I need to try again, a glass is not enough to discoverer the full depths of it.

Sample at a Systembolaget tasting. Fruity smell with some ripe fruit and banana. Similar taste. I find it hard to place this beer. I don’t get any hops. Lacks a dimension or two.

Excellent beer with a great flavor. Even the bottle is beautiful. Cuvée d'Oscar is a dessert beer par excellence. It is extremely fruity and rich without being sweet or heavy on the palate. To be paired with a variety of sweets, particularly chocolate or fruit desserts.
