On tap at La Capsule Wonderful nose and body for this dunkel weissbier. A huge head with hints of passion fruits and chocolate in aftertaste. A great stuff!

Bottle from Jake’s a Place. A glass this time even if it’s the wrong one. Way too frothy for starters. This head ain’t shifting. After that it’s sweet but with good yeasty fruit presence. This yields to a mustiness, that head still there.... Nice dryish palate. Pleasant if somewhat filling.

Bottle (375 ml) @ Le Supercoin (Paris). Hazy/murky brown with a medium beige head and little lacing. Aroma is of litchi, chocolate, caramel, fruits and spices. Taste is moderately sweet with fruity notes, chocolate, spices, caramel and light alcohol warming. Light body (not weak at all, just impressively light). Medium carbonation. Fluffy (almost creamy) mouthfeel. This one is a strange beast... heavy beer with a light mouthfeel. Quite tasty and decent drinkability. Very interesting!

Scopey 5K Tasting in deepest Croydonia. Thanks to the 5K man. Hazy dark amber beer, small pale cream coloured head. Palate is airy and light. Mild fine carbonation. Light.sweet fluffy malt, a little cream. Light candy fruits. Little marmalade and citrus. Finishes light. Not bad.

Bottle split at Scopey’s 5K Extravaganza of Oompah Band meets doorbell music, thanks to Don Paulo - 15/02/14. Hazed orange amber with a moderate off white covering. Nose is bitter orange peel, citric rindings, straw. Taste comprises tangy citrics, red grapefruit, yuzu, orange pith, straw, mandarin, peach, light bread dough. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Nice offering.

Bottle shared at Scopey’s 5000th rate. Cheers to Kenny I think. Pours dirty amber with a sturdy white cap. Nose is big passionfruit and lemon rind, plenty of orange and almost yuzu like. Sweet and zesty stuff. Taste is juicy sweet tropical fruits, some citric rind and biscuit to round it off. Definitely overcarbonated which is about my only qualm here. Quite a solid drop

Bottle at my 5k. It pours deep amber with a thick light tan head. The nose is earth, orange peel, mandarin, candied peel, sherbet and orange sponge cake. The taste is crisp, doughy, orange, candied peel, toast, spice and good bitterness with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Well rounded and flavoursome.

Bottle from Drinkmonger. Hazy brown body with a large off-white head. Lively carbonation. Excellent lacing. Wonderful aroma of vine tomatoes, grapefruit, candy and dark cherries. Flavour of pineapple and yeast. Quite boozy. Medium body with an oily mouthfeel. Light fizz. I’m not getting much wheat in this, but who cares, it’s delicious. A beer brings something new with each sip.

375 ml bottle. From saveur-biere.com.
Dark brown colour with a huge foamy white head. Nelson Sauvin aroma of grapes, white wine and yeast plus some mild wheat. The flavour is wheat, dark malt, darkish hops, mild bitterness, white wine and some dark fruitiness. Not bad.
