COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A West Coast style IPA, the Professor is golden and sports a large frothy white head. Hops leap out of the glass, citrus, apricot, and herbal notes define this brew. There is enough malty body to keep you coming back for more.

Had on draft at the Ypsilanti Summer Beer Festival. I’m a little surprised by the very average ratings for this IPA. Not real strong and very easy drinking. Really nice flavors of citrus/grapefruit, pine, and mild hops. Very clean finish. More of a session IPA. Solid effort.

Great taste and aroma. First time having a beer from Crankers and I am really impressed. Definitely going to try their other offerings.

Courtesy of a trade from Strykzone. Poured apricot in color. White head. Good lacing. Nose of tropical fruit. Medium body. Flavor is tropical fruit. Some stone fruit. Not very bitter. More like APA than IPA but bet very tasty.

Pours golden with a slight haze from the residual yeast. Two-inch, off-white, persistent head formed and settled at about 1/4 inch. The nose has distinct pine-notes along with citrus notes that may have overwhelmed the malt notes. Medium-light body, albeit a little shorter palate than expected. Nice hop flavors intermingled with pine and herbal notes towards the finish. The malt notes on the palate are also subdued by the hop flavors and bitterness. Nice carbonation level. Belgian lace does form. The ABV is not noticeable. In sum, very decent and a pleasure to drink, but not an IPA to seek out.

Great nose and an understated (not sweet, not bitter) taste. These guys continue to impress with a solid portfolio of liquid.

Pour from a 12oz bottle. Clear amber brew with ample white head. Aroma of citrus, fruit, a little pine. Taste is moderate malt at the start with a moderate hops presence emerging mid swallow. Ends with a pleasant hoppiness and notes of tropical fruit. A cringe-worthy off-flavor like band-aides emerges post swallow but is out lasted by the lingering bitterness. Overall very good except for the band-aide taste.

Nice funky marijauna-ish hop aroma with some citrus. Taste slightly bitter hops balanced with a mildly riasty malt backbone. Nice palate, foamy but not syrupy, a little watery. Overall, a solid ipa

Crisp slightly hazy light copper coloured body with a thin, one centimetre tall head and some nice microscopic bubbles rising from the bottom. Aroma of fresh earthy and citrusey hops with a bit of a caramel note and some malt noticeable as well. Medium-bodied; Assertive grassy and citrusey hop flavours up front with some pine and herbal notes on the back end. Aftertaste shows a smooth malt character, some lighter sweetness and a little grassy bitterness left over from the hops. Overall, a nice and a relatively smooth beer with some good hop notes, but not much bitterness, but a good balance and a light sweetness. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Merchant’s in Dearborn, Michigan on 02-August-2013 for US$1.99 sampled at home in Washington on 10-December-2013.

Bottle. Frothy white head. Cloudy light honey color. Some lace. Grapefruit hop aroma. Balanced hop bitterness. Very traditional IPA flavor and finish. This is a very solid IPA. Would certainly drink again, but wouldn’t necessarily seek out.
