JoeMcPhee (3815), Jackson Heights, New York, USA Sep 11, 2005 Tap at GCBF 2005. Pale pink slightly hazy beer. Thin white head. Aroma of apple and red currant, especially the latter. Very fruity aroma. Flavour is quite tart with a bit of sweetness as well. Light yeastiness mixes throughout. Light bodied and a bit of a tannic finish. Doesn’t really seem to come together as well as it could. Oakes (6979), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Sep 11, 2005 Each batch is made with fruits harvested from their farm, so this year’s was blueberries, raspberries and red currants. Bandsidhe (pronounced "banshee") has a hazy pink colour. The aroma is of red currants and blueberry skins. Tart in flavour, somewhat thin. Only hints of syrupy malts in a tart, fruity, body. A distinctive, drinkable fruit beer.
