Cask: Deep golden, clear, very stable big creamy off-white head; fresh hops and some unfermented wort in the Aroma; moderate sweetish-bitter flavour, light bodied; bready-worty and bitter finish. Pleasant, but not earth-shaking...

Sips of the missus’ bottle. More orange than lager gold capped with a slick of white. High fizz, good fruity wine gum, grassy, tea and tropical aroma way out of the lager ballpark. Deep husky nutty pale malt base overlaid with juicy citrus, herb, hints of pear and privet. Very decent ’lager’ although nothing like one.

Bottle at Crate Brewery. Clear orange. Nicely hopped. Crisp clean flavour with a hint of sweetness. Refreshing. Went really well with the pizza i had there. Lovely larger indeed.

Aroma: Medium malt, toffee. Low hops, earthy . Appearance: Body: Light amber, clear. Head: Small, off-white. Good retention. Flavour: Medium-high bitterness, Medium hops, earthy. Medium malty sweetness, bready. Dry, sharp finish. Mouthfeel: Medium body. Low carbonation. Overall: This is a bitter made with lager yeast, not a typical lager. Still a good beer, but missing the typical fruitiness that one would assume with a bitter. 330 ml bottle, poured. Thanks Andre! 8C. Extra Special/Strong Bitter (English Pale Ale)
