3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 davidpl (435) - Santiago, - JUL 30, 2007
Appearance: dark brown color, with reddish tones. Medium head, of beige color, low persistency.
Aroma: intensive toasty malty, sweet chocolate, grain coffee and candy. Fruitiness of berries; sour-reminiscences of grapefruits and pear. I remember the morning’s toasty wholemeal bread. Faith at style, the hoppyness is low.
Flavor: persistent and fresh toasty of cereals, bitter chocolate, grain coffee and candy. Berries, and figs fruity-reminiscences. Sweet malty start, with dry-toasty finish. Metallic, slight smoked and low hoppyness in the end. Something liquory, like cabernet sauvignon wine.
Palate: medium body, watery and silky texture. Low carbonation.
Balanced, soft and nice Chilean porter. However, the body and texture is not much robust for the style. Advisable.

Bottle, black with a bubbly beige head. A roasted caffeinated aroma. Toasted coffee and caramal malt flavour, very dry, but with an astringency.

UPDATED: MAR 14, 2007 (in bottle, gift of the brewery general manager).
Has a color black with outlines of red and coffees. Few foam and this one is very rapid. The aroma is slight, with something of chocolate and malt, very diffuse. Watery sensation, probably lacking something of body. has the just degree of bitterness and sweetness, a good porter

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Panzerfaust (509) - Hanga Roa, Easter Island, CHILE - NOV 10, 2006
Pours a clear dark mahogany color, head is medium to big, fizzy and beige. It diminishes fast and leaves a small lacing.
Aroma is very malty, chocolatey, coffee-ish with some herbal touches and overripe berries. Decent and disguises well it’s infection.
Sweet chocolatey flavor, some cherry tartness and shy coffee notes. Unfortunately timid and watery. Alcohol is very noticeable also.
Watery texture, light body. Too few malt for a Porter. High carbonation. Regular aftertaste after a medium finish. Just another unripe Porter...damn.
