3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
A lot of breweries are straying from the original malty American amber and are putting out ambers that are just slightly darker APAs. While these are good, It’s nice to see some folks are still doing it the old fashioned way. This is a nice, full bodied malt accented brew. There is a touch of floral hop character in the nose but very little bitterness in the finish. A nice, creamy texture keeps it easily drinkable and the relatively high level of sweetness never cloys. Overall, it works quite well.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Pours amber with minimal head. Slight caramel aroma, but not much else. Not much to taste either: a bit of roastiness and an inappropriate amount of hop bitterness. Bit too carbonated for my taste. Bitter finish.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Can. Pours a clear amber color with very little head on it. Nose is quite toasty and malt forward. Taste has the same toasty elements with just a slight hint of sweetness on the back end. Light and easy to drink, just not overly flavorful.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 oz can. Pours a hazy amber color with small creamy tan head. Aroma is mostly caramel malt, maybe just a bit of pine or spruce in there as well. Chocolate notes in the flavor. Decent.

2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Can leftover from someone at RATXIII. Pours an amber with minimal white head. Aroma is off hops, caramel that has melted them left to rot. Taste is bland to gross levels of yard waste.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours an amber with a thin, off white head. Aroma has floral hops, caramel, and nuts. The taste is heavy on malts. Mostly caramel, and there is a good deal of bread as well. Some cereal flavor. There is a slight pine flavor as well. Short and weak aftertaste of caramel with a hint of pine. Light in body with decent carbonation. Not much more going on here. Pretty basic and unimpressive.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 oz can pours a clear medium amber color with moderate white head but hardly any lacing. Delightful aroma is full of floral hops, butter, bread and a bit of resin. Taste is slightly sweet without the bitter finish that I had expected from something so hoppy flavored. Body is light to medium without too much carbonation. An easily drinkable, slightly different amber ale I wouldn’t mind trying again.

1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20
Can. Keystone resort on a snowboarding trip 1/13/13. The pour is a nice hazy amber. The aroma is a not nice butter, grainy, floral hop arrangement. The taste is bitter and bites the tongue. I didn’t finish mine and we poured the unopened cans.
