COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This delightfully floral American style Amber Ale displays a wonderful balance while still maintaining a profound hoppy goodness. We load this beer with a ridiculous and obscene amount of West Coast hops that are added late in the boil resulting in a hoppy beer without any bitterness.

Dark amber/copper appearance. Hints of Toffee aroma. Easy drinking, medium bodied, light caramel with a slight bitter finish. Good session beer.

12 oz. can. Pour is a medium amber, hazy with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet caramel, with honey and some sweet citrus notes. Maybe a bit of pineapple. Taste is malty with plenty of caramel, some sweet fruit, a decent amount of hop bitterness. Not bad.

Still not much of an amber fan, but when the girlie pays for it, I’ll drink it :) .

A respectable amber ale is a prototypical summer grilling beer. I can’t say that I was wild about this first experience with Crazy Mountain but at less than $2.00 it was low risk. That said I’d definitely not turn it down at a tailgating party or somewhere else where I was just hanging out with friends.

Aroma / Appearance - A creamy orange base with vanilla head has a gentle presence. Warm woody hops tickle the air with orange glaze and melony cheesecake.

Flavor / Palate - Opening with a pleasant oakiness this slowly warms the tongue and throat. Light pine, orange glo, and traces of wood ash add some depth. This has a reasonable texture. A bit more depth might be nice. Overall though it is one of those interchangeable low ABV session beers that is perfect for when you don’t want a high gravity behemoth.

UPDATED: APR 13, 2014 Decent amber ale, on tap at the los angeles beer festival, slight sweet aroma. Very smooth in flavor and easy drinking. Not too hoppy or bitter, so a decent amber ale for me.

This beer is your portotypical 3.1. Not much at all. Light hoppiness with notes of water, caramel, grass, and water. Just inoffensive and average.

Wonderful hoppy aroma leads to complex malt flavors. Nutty flavors with an American hop flavor play together very well.

Drank out of the can, so hard to judge the aroma and appearance well. For an amber drinker, this is very refreshing. Not the best I ever had, but easy to drink and would definitely get again.

Bottle; poured a dark caramel/copper with a khaki colored head. Aroma of caramels, sweet malt, toffee and veggies. Flavor was very similar to the aroma with maybe a touch more of earthiness. Nice sweetness and caramel notes.
