COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This delightfully floral American style Amber Ale displays a wonderful balance while still maintaining a profound hoppy goodness. We load this beer with a ridiculous and obscene amount of West Coast hops that are added late in the boil resulting in a hoppy beer without any bitterness.

UPDATED: MAY 23, 2011 Can. Head is initially small, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing. Body is medium to dark amber. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain, caramel), moderately hoppy (grapefruit, resin, apricot), with a light note of dried mango. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, lightly astringent. In a word, ordinary. Fruity (and just a bit resinous) hop-and-ester aroma. They weren’t lying about being light on bitterness, and the sweetness all but vanishes in the finish too...I dare say this is a bit on the bland side, but it’s ok overall.

The aroma is solid and balanced with caramel malt and citrus - pine hops. The appearance is amber with a medium head. The taste is like the aroma but not as sweet. The palate is smooth. Overall a very good session beer but definitely has bitterness.

This one pours a nice deep red hue ---> no point of describing really, with that picture over there. It’s gotta be the west coast hops, because as OmegaX mentioned, there really is a twang of green beans. There isn’t much hop flavor, but the body is very malty - just not so much that it takes over the beer. I guess that is the flavor you get "without any bitterness".

Tap at Indigo’s. Nose is light chlorine with some pine and herbal hops. Light caramel malt, as well. Color is dark amber with a frothy tan head. Taste is raw green beans/dirt/piney hops. Again, there was some light caramel to complete this amber ale. Not bad and very interesting.

12oz can. Rating #15. Dark amber pour with a real nice, sticky, off-white head that left some great lacing. Nice aroma, piney hops and a light toast and a little bit of caramel. Flavor is similar, more hops with moderate bitterness and more toast. Nice stuff. (2369)

Can @ home. Dark copper appearance with an off white head. Toasty, caramel, biscuity malty, a touch piney, earthy hoppy aroma. Biscuity, bready, caramel malty, mild to moderately earthy hoppy flavor. Solid amber ale.

Aroma is a bit stale, has hoppiness but it’s a bit grassy. Color is a nice copper with a good white head. Taste is stale and not much else. Ends with a very bitter finish. Not too good.

Can poured a clear amber with a small lingering amber head. Aromas of carmel, fruittiness, graininess and earthiness. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of carmel, earthiness, fruittines and light graininess with a smooth lingering malty finish.
