3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: FEB 11, 2014 Bottle thanks to Jesse. Pours brown with lasting, fine tan head. Aroma is roasted, burnt, chocolate. Flavor is roasted, toffee, with a citrus, hoppy, toasted malt, nutty, roasted, mild coffee finish. Was looking for more roast and less hops. Somewhat of a mess of flavors. Moderate carbonation, medium-light body, and crisp texture.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
From the 650 ml. bottle. It pours nice with a dark brown to black look and along lasting foamy tan head. The aroma is off though. Maybe some acetaldehyde. Just smells like sour fruit rather than what I expect a Porter to smell like. The body is about average in the medium range. Because the aroma is so of...so is the flavor. Very difficult to find malts. I mostly find sour green apples. It might have been a bad bottle.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bomber bottle poured a clear dark deep brown hue w/ a large fizzy tan head, medium retention w/ good lacing. Medium aromas of roasted coffee, figs, leather, and peppery hops. Initial flavor is light sweet w/ a light bitter finish of short duration. Tastes are a roast you would expect from a stout, chocolate, grain, coffee, and a light lime citrus. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, and a light dryness in the finish.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
651 ml. bottle. Pours a medium, well retained, beige head, with some lacing, over a dark brown (SRM 35) body....nose is roasted malt with coffee, light chocolate, with light hop spice, finishing with hints of lactose, and a slight organic, rubber tone........taste is roasted dark roasted malts with medium coffee, lighter chocolate, moderate sweetness throughout, leading to a medium hop roasted malt bitterness.....mouth feel medium, minimal astringency, slightly sticky, carbonation adds acid tingle with a clean finish. This falls well within the style of a Robust Porter. The roasted malt back bone is dominant, but not overly so, and the hops, while in the back ground make their presence known. There is the slight off note in the aroma, but it is otherwise a well made beer. BJCP 7/3/14/4/7
