COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
n the 1960s, before Vail Village was paved and closed to vehicles, "hookiebobbing" referred to those committed fools who, while on skis, grabbed onto the bumper of passing cars to tow them up to the lifts. Our IPA is a Colorado approach to the American take of an English classic. Three aggressive yet floral American hops and one hop from Down Under team together to make a bright, citrusy and floral India Pale Ale. A deep caramel malt helps to balance the bitterness of the hops and lets the complex hop bill shine.
Hopped with Simcoe, Amarillo, Centennial and Galaxy.

Bottle. Caramel malt aroma with pine resin and citrus hop notes. Pours cloudy copper colored with a huge, frothy off-white head with excellent retention and good lacing. Starts with caramel malt sweetness with a hop backbone. Finishes dry with pine resiny bitterness and a bit of citrus hops as well. Good, but a little too bitter on the finish for my palate.

Bottle. Poured clear copper color with a large frothy off-white head that lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy sour complex hop and small malt aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Moderate bittersweet flavor with a moderate bittersweet finish of medium duration. Good complex brew.

Smells of strong malts followed up by slate pineapple pine resin cent. Colors a perfect slight heezy light golden color. Flavor comes on strong with the malts and then sits there for a while and then at the very end bites you with a citrus grapefruit rind taste flavor. Light to medium carbonation lighter body flavor transfer is incredible starts off sweet drags on for a while then finally the bitterness bite you. Great creation on this beer.

bottle @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Slightly hazy dark amber, rocky off-white head, bands of lace. Aroma of pine hops. Taste is a little malt that yields quickly to overwhelming pine hops. A pop of fizz on the swallow, hops the rest of the way.

Can sample at a tasting at troublesís place. Thanks Tom L. Clear golden with a white head. Aroma of rather stale hops, grainy notes. Sweetish flavor with malt, kinda oxidized, and bitter stale hops. Medium-bodied. Not fresh.

Pre-pour thoughts. 12 oz bottle. I first noticed the label, and was the primary reason that I bought it. Interesting name, interesting label. I thought the picture was an elk crossing a stream, wrong-o. Itís a part moose, part buffalo, part human walking in the snow. I guess I should look these things over more carefully.

Pours a slightly hazy, honey color. Has a very thick two finger head. Very nice lacing, good retention.

Aroma is citrusy, earthy hops. Malts and maybe vanilla.

Taste is citrus, touch of caramel, and a little orange vanilla. Hops are present but not over powering.

Mouthfeel is medium full, crisp and dry. It finishes bitter on the end, but not too much.

Overall, not much to say, this is really good. The lacing is incredible. Iím down to the very bottom, and Iíve got lacing all the way up the glass. One of the better IPAs that Iíve had. If you see it, and trust me, you wonít miss it, you should try it.

Oh, on the bottle it says, "Hoppy, Balanced, Fresh." There is no date on the bottle. Iím deducting a point overall. Shame.

Hazy, pale gold pour with a rocky, white head. The aroma has pine and floral hops. It has a light, somewhat watery body with average carbonation. The taste is bittersweet to start and then finishes dry and more bitter.

Pours hazy orange-gold with a medium beige head, good retention. Strong hoppy aroma, lots of sweet tropical fruit and floral notes with citrus and biscuit. Medium body, velvety, lightly dry. Mildly sweet, medium bitter finish, light lingering bitter notes. Full of fun.

Pours clear golden yellow with a large white head. The aroma has pale malt, perfume, mushy malt, passion fruit and pineapple. It has a medium light rough body with mild amount of carbonation. The flavor starts with super dry caramel malt, pine, earth / wood and grapefruit. It finishes with some tropical fruit added. Decent IPA.
