n the 1960s, before Vail Village was paved and closed to vehicles, "hookiebobbing" referred to those committed fools who, while on skis, grabbed onto the bumper of passing cars to tow them up to the lifts. Our IPA is a Colorado approach to the American take of an English classic. Three aggressive yet floral American hops and one hop from Down Under team together to make a bright, citrusy and floral India Pale Ale. A deep caramel malt helps to balance the bitterness of the hops and lets the complex hop bill shine.
Hopped with Simcoe, Amarillo, Centennial and Galaxy.

bottle from yankee beverage. OK Ipa, malt forward, avertage bitterness. milder citrusy & piney hops, old bottle perhaps. hops lost bite, malt dominated

Orange-tan with a slight bit of haze, not a lot of head or lacing, but it doesnít look bad at all, just a bit lacking on foam. Aroma is that of an IPA with a solid malt backbone. Caramel malts and earthy tones compliment a floral, citrusy hops body. Carbonation is somewhat light (probably affecting the appearance too), but more than ample. Overall the beer has a finish that spans both malty and resinous hops bitterness. Enjoyable. So far, I havenít had any beers from crazy mountain that I didnít like.

Pours a cloudy, light golden-yellow, with lots of head (when I opened the bottle, foam started oozing out). Strong aroma of hops. Flavor is very bitter, with lots of hops and just a touch of something else underlying it--canít quite put my finger on it. Almost Brett-like underflavor. Finish is quite bitter as well. Interesting IPA, not quite up to par for me.

22oz bottle 11/12/13 (Whole Foofs-Lamar)-Pours a dark amber with an off white head. Aroma of hops and malt. Taste of hops and malt. This medium bodied brew is not too shabby. Easy drinking.

Poured from a 22 ounce bottle from my friend Brady. Pours cloudy orange with bubbly and small head. Smell is orange citrus and bitter. Very good smell. Bitter, malty, yet floral, taste all comes together very well and is a very smooth and easy drinking beer

Pours a light copper color with almost no head and minimal carbonation. Aroma is faint and flora;l. Taste is great, hoppyness that is not over the top but good to drink. Back taste is nice and bitter. Mouthfeel is good. Not a bad beer.

Bomber bottle poured a hazy orange hue w/ a small frothy white head and thick lacing. Big floral hop aromas. Initial flavor is a very light sweet w/ a moderate bitter finish of moderate duration. Tastes are pine, tangerine, and cereal. Medium bodied, watery texture, and lively carbonation.
