COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
n the 1960s, before Vail Village was paved and closed to vehicles, "hookiebobbing" referred to those committed fools who, while on skis, grabbed onto the bumper of passing cars to tow them up to the lifts. Our IPA is a Colorado approach to the American take of an English classic. Three aggressive yet floral American hops and one hop from Down Under team together to make a bright, citrusy and floral India Pale Ale. A deep caramel malt helps to balance the bitterness of the hops and lets the complex hop bill shine.
Hopped with Simcoe, Amarillo, Centennial and Galaxy.

Pours amber color with white head. Aroma of citrus and hops. Hoppy flavor but taste a little watered down. Good beer but I was hoping for more bitterness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

355ml bottle with awesome label art. Pours and orangeish gold. Aroma is malty. Flavor is hoppier, a very fruity one, caramel and nougat malt character. Not the type of IPA im into.

Poured from 12oz brown bottle into a Spieglau IPA glass, a clear golden colour with white foam, lasting with lace. Basic crisp grainbill, hops-forward brew: grapefruit, musk, pine resin, ganja weed. Light body, strong carbonation, lingering bitter citrusy aftertaste.

Poured from can into a snifter Appearance – The beer pours a hazy orange amber color with a one finger head of billowy white foam. The head has a great level of retention very slowly fading to leave a light level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass. Smell – The aroma of the brew is huge of tropical fruit smells with tons of tangerine and pineapple along with a good showing of a more melon like sweetness of cantaloupe and honeydew. Along with these smells are some lighter bready smells as well as a bit of a pine and grapefruit hop, giving a very nice inviting smell overall. Taste - The taste begins with a bready and doughy taste with just hint of tropical fruit and melon sweetness. As the taste moves forward hop flavors of a grassy and citrus nature come to the tongue with the tropical flavors losing ground. While much of the fruity sweet tropical flavors fade from the tongue, the grapefruit hop really picks it up toward the end of the taste, leaving one with a somewhat malty and grapefruity but balanced hop taste to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is slightly thicker and chewier with a carbonation level that is rather low. For the mix of hop, not overly sweet, and rather bready tastes of the brew the feel is quite nice and creates a great mouth coating feel. Overall – A rather nice and tasty IPA. Nothing super exceptional in the world of IPA’s, but it does have a nice blend of malt and hop which makes for an enjoyable brew overall. One to try if you get a chance.

Tower 42 Tasting. Another can from Dan the man. Clear gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light, semi dry and has good fine carbonation. Smooth light pale malts, mildly sweet. Good sweetish piney hops getting slightly minty. Good tropical fruits with a touch of lime. A light and sweetish IPA. Nice.

Pour is a clear almost pale lager yellow with a large white head. Aroma is a decent floral hop with green onion in there. Flavor is again a floral hop with kind of a earthy English malt. No an overpowering hop bomb but this was a decent beer. Kina of a English/American combo IPA.

Balanced, fruity IPA. Clear in color, served in a pint glass at Carmella’s. Easy to drink

Sample from a bottle. Pours a light gold color, with a small, off-white head. The nose is buttery, thick hops, with notes of pine sap, resin, biscuit dough, and lemon zest. The flavor is lightly dry and nicely bitter. Light to medium body, crisp, a little effervescent, and clean. This is a solidly done IPA, but the aroma is a little weak.

Bottle thanks to Dirty D. It pours clear gold with a thick white head. The nose is fresh, bitter - sweet, juicy, sticky orange, tangerine, tinned peach, dull grain and straw. The taste is crisp, bitter, grassy, straw, minerals, chalky, orange peel and waxy peel with a dry, grainy finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. So - so.
