We utilize two types of American hops in such a way that we put the flavor of these hops center stage and let their bitterness fade into the background. The hop-forward character of this Pale Ale shines through in the unique, tropical fruit flavor of two American hop varieties. Enjoy this offering with a fresh approach to how a Pale Ale expresses its inner hoppiness.

35,5cl can from Systembolaget, Strömstad. Pours clear amber with an off white head. Doesn’t feel very fresh more like and old IPA. Quite hoppy aroma, but slightly unpleasant with an un-fresh feel, caramel. some fruits and notes of pine and citrus. Fairly sweet with some slightly unpleasant flavours and a bitter finish. Sweet and not very refreshing, but still drinkable.

Can from Systembolaget. Clear dark golden body, small white head. Aroma of caramel, bread, faint hops. Taste is sweet malty with a heavy bitterness, not really the fruity hop taste the text promises with it’s "two different american hops". To be honest it’s quite boring. An APA needs more than a sweet malt taste and strong bitterness to impress. Bitterness is long, while the aftertaste has some faint notes of pine. Disappointed.

At a tasting, thanks troubles, small bubbly head, a little hazy and a touch pale orange colour, aroma of carambola and peach with some mineral notes, flavour of peach, herbal tea and tobacco. Nice and easy.

355ml can poured into a Tulip glass. Appearance is a slightly cloudy amber colored with a medium sized beige head. Aroma of lemon zest, pineapple, and orange peels. Flavours of lemon zest, pineapple, grapefruit and a hint of caramel. Taste is light sweet and medium bitter. Palate is light bodied, soft texture and average carbonation. Overall a decent APA on the fruitier side of the scale, for my taste slightly lacking in malts and bitterness.

Mörkgul vätska med medelstor vit krona som lämnar vissa rester. Lätt frisk doft med vissa inslag av tall, citron och gräs. Smaken är bra, men kroppen är alldeles för liten. Lättdrucken med viss efterbeska men något tunn.

Can sample at a tasting at Beer Market Jaffa. Thanks troubles. Golden. Fruity aroma with carambola. Flavor has some fruity sweetness, a bit of malt and mild to moderate hoppy bitterness. Medium-bodied.

Fresh grapefruity aroma with some citrus notes. Really nice with a slight malty note. Flavor is just malty enough with a good hop kick to it. Not overly bitter with good aromas of american hops. Think Grapefruit, citrus, mango etc. The finish is slightly alcoholic though, even though it’s only 5,7%. They could’ve done a better job with fermenting it i guess.

Can. 5.7%. Best before 14.01.15. Pours a hazy/cloudy light amber with a yellowish head. Good lacing. Sweetish, fruity hop aroma, with an overripe fruit note thrown in as well, though diminishing a bit as it warms. Faint plastic note as it warms as well. Flavour is more overripe fruit, but more outspoken, and a bit unpleasant. Orange note in the background. Bitter, somewhat tart finish with a hint of yeast, and a lingering light alcohol burn. Overall basically okay, although a bit generic for the style, but the overripe fruit note is a drawback, especially in the flavour. 08.08.14.

12 ounce can into pint glass, no canning date. Pours lightly hazy golden orange color with a 1-2 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, peach, melon, pineapple, floral, grass, caramel, honey, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice aromas with good complexity of citrus/tropical hops and balanced dark/bready malt sweetness; with good strength. Taste of tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, peach, melon, pineapple, floral, grass, light pine, caramel, honey, bread, and floral/toasted earthiness. Fair amount of floral/pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, peach, melon, pineapple, caramel, honey, and bread on the finish for a good bit. Nice robustness and complexity of citrus/tropical hops and balanced dark/bready malt sweetness; with a solid malt/bitterness balance and no cloying sweetness after the finish. Pretty malty for a pale ale, but it doesn’t get offensive. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth and moderately creamy/bready mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is well hidden with no warming present after the finish. Overall this is a nice pale ale. Good robustness and complexity of citrus/tropical hops and dark/bready malt sweetness; and very smooth to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.
