The aroma is malty and also hoppy making it seem like an IPA. There is both pine and citrus hops. The appearance is amber gold with a medium head. The taste is like the aroma with a citrus finish. The palate is smooth. Overall a nice beer.

Can. Light amber colour with a loose head. Lightly fruity hop aroma with a slightly toasty, slightly biscuity malt backdrop. Vaguely earthy hop. Toasty malt. A touch watery but I bet that makes it a little more refreshing on a hot afternoon. Could use a more expressive hop aroma though.

Cans. From Knightly. Coppery orange, loose head. Smells like random beer, veering towards a British bitter profile. It’s fairly balanced, but the toasty malts overpower the hops. It just puts me to sleep. I’m not a mountain livin’ person, and I ain’t vibing off the mountain livin’ beer.

Can @ home. A touch hazy, dark orange appearance with an off white head with not the best retention. Toasted caramel malty, a touch nutty, earthy, slightly spicy hoppy aroma. Toasted, biscuity malty, light caramel, a bit chalky, light citrus, earthy hoppy flavor. Bleh.

Can. Poured a clear copper-orange color with a moderate, bubbly off-white head that faded to a bubbly layer and left some thick spots of lacing. Aroma of floral hops, along with some light pine and citrus fruit, and a strong caramel maltiness with a light mineral undertone. Smooth, lightly sweet entry with some soft pine and a light citrus bite transitions into a lightly dry, floral hoppiness paired with a faint toasted graininess that lingers into the lightly dry finish where it’s paired with some lightly sweet caramel. Low carbonation and light dryness contribute to the medium mouth feel. Overall, it’s decent, but doesn’t stand out in any area.

Nose is big NW hops, very floral! Color is amber, head is creamy, off-white, nice amount to it. Taste has almost no bitterness. Loads of hop flavor, not a whole lot of body to it. Mouthfeel is thin. Hop presence, is borderline IPA. Long dry finish. Hard to find a weak spot here, tastes very fresh.

Pours a burnt orange with a small, slightly sticky head out of a 12 oz can. Sweet. Biscuit aroma with a touch of grapefruit. Light on the tongue with an orange-peel bitterness coming through. Another ultimately sessionable pale ale.

Can. Head is initially small, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing. Body is medium amber. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain, husks), lightly to moderately hoppy (grapefruit, resin), with a strong note of butter/diacetyl. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, moderately bitter, slightly unclean. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Lots of diacetyl, unfortunately. Rough in the malt department as well. Rather sour in the mouth with a foul aftertaste. Why do batches like this even make it to shelves? Ugh.

On tap @ Rackhouse. Never had a bourbon pale ale so very interested to try. Poured a clear golden amber with no head. Scent of sweet bourbon, watermelon and strawberries. Lovely medium body, very smooth, lots of bourbon, orange, honey, and big maltiness. Slightly tart dry finish. The bourbon is not overdone in this one, quite nice.
