We utilize two types of American hops in such a way that we put the flavor of these hops center stage and let their bitterness fade into the background. The hop-forward character of this Pale Ale shines through in the unique, tropical fruit flavor of two American hop varieties. Enjoy this offering with a fresh approach to how a Pale Ale expresses its inner hoppiness.

Can. Poured a clear copper-orange color with a moderate, bubbly off-white head that faded to a bubbly layer and left some thick spots of lacing. Aroma of floral hops, along with some light pine and citrus fruit, and a strong caramel maltiness with a light mineral undertone. Smooth, lightly sweet entry with some soft pine and a light citrus bite transitions into a lightly dry, floral hoppiness paired with a faint toasted graininess that lingers into the lightly dry finish where it’s paired with some lightly sweet caramel. Low carbonation and light dryness contribute to the medium mouth feel. Overall, it’s decent, but doesn’t stand out in any area.

Can 35,5 cl. Pours mainly clear amber with an off-white head. Odd, unclean aroma, more rotten than hoppy. Medium body, overripe fruit, and some late hops. Not really plesant at all! 261115

This was poured into a pint glass. The appearance was a semi-hazy to glossy burnt orange color. The head, what head, yeah, there wasn’t any, but there was a light remnant of tight lacing clinging to the glass. The smell started off with a dried citrus pulp leading into a light caramel malt. The taste was moderately bitter with a semi-sweet citrus to caramel back up in the initial flavor. There is a slight dried citric to caramel aftertaste running into the finish. Overall, it sits about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation runs fairly light with the malt body encompassing a nice sticky feature on my tongue. Overall, I’d say this was a decent APA, its nothing special but definitely do-able with food. I could have again.

Can: Very predictable, lot’s of fruity tropical aromas and flavors. Solid, but most definitely nothing exceptional about this. Would I drink it again? Of course. Would I remember it in a sea of Pale Ales? Maybe not.

Appearance Clear light amber, with a small frothy white head
Aroma Stone fruits, fruit salad, grass, a touch of pine. Definitely not getting the malty bready notes other raters mention
Taste Dry, moderately bitter
Palate Medium body, medium carbonation
Overall A very generic "I’ve had ten of these from ten different breweries before" pale ale

(Rating #6459)

Can courtsey of Baz and Jude, consumed at Thistledown Farm campsite Friday 11th September 2015. Dark gold mmmhhh..maybe light amber with a white head, a touch of haze. Strangely there is a little tiny bit of vinegar on the nose and yet it tastes absolutely fine. Soft in the mouth, thrusty bitterness, fruity and tangy with a little tropical flurry.
