One of the best offerings from Crazy Mountain. Coffee all the way, medium bodied and absolutely delicious. A likely staple for Crazy Mountain moving forward.

Pours a deep brown with a thinner dark tan head. The aroma is a very strong coffee, some chocolate, roasted malts, and a slight smokiness. The taste is still big on coffee, but there is a heavy smoke flavor in here as well. I still find some faint chocolate. This is dry with some bitterness. Long smoky aftertaste. Medium in body, with a thinner texture, and some mild carbonation. Not bad, but nothing really wows me here.

OK, here’s the thing. I like coffee beers to have a lot of coffee in them. Coffee is one flavor in a beer it’s hard to over do. Do not be timid with coffee. This beer did not have enough coffee.

Bottle from Systembolaget. Pours dark brown with tan head. Heavily roasted coffee aroma with dark chocolate. Loads and loads of coffee bitterness in the taste, quite unbalanced. There’s nothing more than the coffee.

Can bought @ Systembolaget. Pours pale brownish black with a small beige head that leaves some sparse trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is malty and roasty with roasted malts, burnt toast, dark roast coffee, charred wood, moist soil and minerals. Taste is slightly sweet, bitter, malty and slightly earthy. Mouthfeel is soft, tiny crisp, slightly round, astringent, tiny watery and light to medium bodied. Finish is tiny sweet, bitter and very tiny sour with roasted malts, burnt toast, dark roast coffee, burnt wood, moist soil, liquorice and minerals. Simple and to the point. Solid coffee stout.
