Pours slightly hazy orange-amber. Aroma presents malty and fruity notes. Flavor is mich bolder than the aroma, hoppy and malty and a little fruity. Mouthfeel presents form body and good fizz. Let’s go Crazy!

On tap at Black Bottle Brewery. Clear, deep orange appearance with frothy, lacy white head. Aroma of grapefruit, toasted grain and light fruity esters. Similar flavor, adding some grassy, earthy and piney hop notes. Medium bitterness with a light dry finish. A bit pithy and unpleasant. Meh, OK I suppose.

Bottle. Clear gold with a thin white head. Aroma is maraschino cherry / fruit cocktail hoppiness, simple syrup pale malt sugariness, slightly dirty vitamin / pixy stix yeast. Medium body, caramel-toffee maltiness up front, low carbonation, flabby, sweet and sugary, tropical candy, finishing slightly sour in a toasty, vegetal, dull finish.

Draft at Devil's Advocate in Minneapolis. Pours a light amber color with a white head and lots of lacing. Aroma is hoppy, pine, light grapefruit citrus. Medium on the palate with average carbonation. Flavor sweet, malty, bready, kinda tastes like it has some rye in it, some pine hoppiness, with a light bitter finish. A serviceable pale ale.

On tap @ Simmzy’s Long Beach. Clear copper colored pour with a soapy white head. Caramel malts, toast, and a really floral, earthy hop profile. A bit orange, pine, and woody herbs, too. Flavor is very sweet up front. There’s a ton of caramel and bread. Kind of sticky. Some pine, resin, and a bit of woody bitterness. Fairly earthy as well with just a bit of orange peel..

Tap at Pizza Luce. Solid orange with a thin white film on top. Pine and mango hop and granulated sugar. Taste is quite sweet with a resinous bitterness. Body is medium light with a soapy feel. Fruity, sweet pale ale.

11/27/13. On tap at The Thirsty Monk, downtown Asheville. Orange pour with a small khaki head. Mild hop aroma, some citrus, resin, doughy malts and caramel. Okay flavor, light bitterness, hints of citrus, resin, nice malt balance. Tasty enough.

UPDATED: JAN 1, 2014 Tap at Muddy Pig. Mostly clear orange pour with a spotty white head. Lots of dank resin aroma in this. Smooth and lively palate. Citrus and pine. Good beer!

Draft. Amber beer with a cream head. Woodsy and dusty aroma with grapefruit. Grapefruit and pine flavor with woodsiness. Medium bodied. Grapefruit and woodsiness lingers with pine.
