3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 pootzboy (1310) - Hawgville, - APR 26, 2004
Sampled at The Last Straw brew pub in Regina. This beer is made in a central locale for a number of brew pubs in Saskatchewan by Malt House brewing. This red “ale” tapped a crystal clear (filtered) reddish copper color with a white 2 finger cap that lasted for 4 minutes into the drink. The carbonation was not natural (probably the filtering process). Aromas of boiled grains with wisps of fruit...pleasant. Started soft... malty and thin then sits with a reasonable tangy hop and sweet malt to the palate and a medium-light oily body in mouth feel....then finished sharp with a nice toasted malt after taste. A pleasant enough mega-draft beer closer to Rickards red than a craft brew.

Tap. Amber color with no head. Aromas of dishwater and garbage. Some maltyness in the taste followed by a mild hop presence. Oily mouthfeel and watery body.
3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20 brewersspot (97) - , California, USA - OCT 28, 2010
I had this beer a while back and from what I can remember I enjoyed it. I’ve had this at the pub/brewery so it was fresh.
Nothing special about it is popping into my head at the moment.

Creekside is part of Malt House Brewing Co. with 5 brew pubs. None of them are on the internet hiding in the dark depths of Saskatchewan. Fairly dark reddish brown. Light lasting head. Pleasant raisiny aroma. Raisin and plum notes in the flavour. Rich mouth feel when cool. As it warms the mouth fell lightens and a citrusy flavour comes into play. Not a big finish but some hop notes and dryness.
