COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Mad & Noisy is a new small batch series from Creemore Springs Brewery, named after the two rivers that merge and flow through the village of Creemore. The first release is Hops & Bolts India Pale Lager, a Czech twist on an English IPA. Hops & Bolts IPL is a bit lighter than an IPA, but a bit fuller than your golden lager, featuring a pithy bitterness that blends to a silky balancing malt sweetness. In the glass, you’ll see a slight unfiltered haze which settles to a bright orange-cedar colour and a dense, lingering off-white head. The big hoppy aroma features a blend of light tropical fruits and bold piney and grassy notes.

Scent of malt, hops, and citrus. Clear rich orange colour. Flavour of burnt sugar, yeast, hops, and molasses. Medium in bitterness, body, and carbonation. A beer that is greater than the sum of its parts - quite refreshing.

---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can picked up at the Dundurn LCBO. Pours a virtually clear copper, massive white head, tons of lace. Nose is malt and a bit of tangerine. Tastes sweet, malty, a bit of hope bitterness that is not super well rounded. I expected a little bit of a different brew.

Can bought atthe LCBO in Toronto/Canada. A blind buy. It got me curious when I saw "india pale lager" on the can. Overall a good thirst killer. Malty and hoppy aroma, hazy amber copper color, good stablemoff white head, malty and bitter hops taste, watery but refreshing. A good beer, would drink another one for sure. And the label on the can is beautifully designed!

J’aime bien !

Poured from a tap. Murky golden color, small white head. Sweat rotten fruit aroma. Medium body with a mild fruit flavor and a strong bitter finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Ambrée. Très légère. Un peu malté. Légère amertume. Fruité. Simple. Étanche-soif.

Pours a lightly hazy copper with a thin white head that leaves some good lacing. Nose is earthy but also a fresh herbs over a light (and slightly weird) fruity background. Taste is not too sweet and lightly bitter (more than your usual macro swill). Flavors are a lightly smoky (?), fruity (not quite tropical) and ends on some lightly bitter caramel notes. Some fresh cereals. Body is light to medium, carbonation aggressive. Not a disaster but definitely not up to par with some of the other IPLs out there.

Cheers!
