COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Mad & Noisy is a new small batch series from Creemore Springs Brewery, named after the two rivers that merge and flow through the village of Creemore. The first release is Hops & Bolts India Pale Lager, a Czech twist on an English IPA. Hops & Bolts IPL is a bit lighter than an IPA, but a bit fuller than your golden lager, featuring a pithy bitterness that blends to a silky balancing malt sweetness. In the glass, you’ll see a slight unfiltered haze which settles to a bright orange-cedar colour and a dense, lingering off-white head. The big hoppy aroma features a blend of light tropical fruits and bold piney and grassy notes.

Slightly hazy amber, slightly earthy fruity hop character. Earthy and slightly woody. Lean and crisp, dry finish with more earthy character.

On tap during a layover in Vancouver. Aroma is interesting, muddy hops, dirt, strong pines. Appears a golden amber with a thick finger and a half of foam. Taste is very disjointed with muddy hop overtones with metallic funk, amber malts and off skunky flavors. Overall, this beer is a mess. There is no balance at all.

From bottle to pintglass Hazy dark amber color with huge cloud like head. . Mild aroma, light malt and hop, some stale water. Dry caramel flavor; the mouthfeel is round and smooth; strong bitterness with a good quantity of hop resins, not much fruity. Some yeast heaviness in the final. Could as well be an ale.

Pours a light brown with grassy aroma. Light mouthfeel but strong bitterness. Finish is quite bitter, yet light. Tastes dry-hopped? Relatively unique but far from spectacular.

This is an excellent product from creamer. Molson must be leaving them alone. Pours a caramel colored orange. Lots of lacing and a modest head that lasts. Hops and bitterness on the tongue that leads into a very nice finish. Really nicely done. Kudos Creemore. I'd like to have this one again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a bit hazy orange/amber color with a decent white head. Citrus hop nose with some grains some caramel and some grass. Taste is quite bitter and light on the mouthfeel. Not bad but just not quite there

Nice colour and flavour. 473 ml can in Ontario is $2.25. Good price for a great quality beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This is the draft as served at the Firkin chain in Toronto. It is clean, rich-tasting, no sulphides or that type taste as I get in the canned one, good hops in the taste and finish (seems a combo of English and American), and pouring either lightly hazy or almost bright. A very good beer, well-made with an excellent flavor, very much on the craft vector: I doubt anyone would say it isn’t craft in a blind tasting. I find the canned one not as good and I wonder if the draft and the canned are brewed at the same place, or with the same yeast. The canned one has the typical Creemore yeast background (kind of like a burnt match, sulphury), but the draft one at Firkin doesn’t. I much prefer the draft.

Bottle. Light roasted grain for the, faint herbs, light dough, and with faint dried fruit and a hint of honey. Head is average size, creamy with bigger bubbles, and has excellent lacing and good legs and is mostly diminishing. Color is slightly hazy, amber/orange. Flavor starts lightly acidic, and finishes lightly acidic and lightly to moderately bitter. Palate is on the lighter side of medium, watery with a lively carbonation. A pretty good beer and an easy drinking Strong Pale Lager.

Rating #894 - Grape Escape 2013 - bottle from Tylor from Granville island leftover from his booth. Pours golden color with a bubbly white head . Nose is orange zest and caramel.Citrusy, hop character dominated by an old-style malt forward beer. Light carbonation, but a woody orange note lingers into the finish, giving an apa kind of vibe. Bold grassy flavours throughout.
