Berley31 (185), New Brunswick, Canada Nov 14, 2009 A: Poured with a small, white head that very quickly turned into a thin film. Body is a dark golden color, with a very slight haze.
S: Nice aroma of light malt, with traces of caramel and maybe even some nuttiness to it.
T: Flavor is mostly sweet with light malt and caramel, and a short duration. Very refreshing finish.
M: Light-bodied with a creamy texture, and average carbonation.
D: It would be extremely easy to put back several of these babies. This is a lager with a lot of flavor, and a lot of character. Easily one of the better lagers I’ve had. Cole (281), , Alberta, Canada Oct 23, 2009 Pours brown. Thin head, Sweet grassy aroma. Flavour is quite malty with a grassy finish. Not bad, but nothing to write home about. Pretty dull. theteniron (9), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA does not count Oct 18, 2009 Not that different from Sam’s Boston lager, but fresher with a nice bite to it. For a 5% lager outstanding. hobbersr (393), Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada Oct 15, 2009 Pours a clear pale orange with a half inch white head. The aroma is hoppy and malty... This is a pleasant surprise from a Molson offering. Honeycomb and apples on the nose with noble hops along for the ride. The taste is quite pleasant. Sweet and bitter in a light balance with a nice dry finish. Actually quite nice. Weedking4 (33), Stratford, Ontario, Canada Sep 30, 2009 On tap. Pours a clear amber. Pretty fucking bland to be honest. I was pretty disappointed with this beer. Considering the overall rating it had on this site. Definately overrated for a 75. Aftertaste was annoying, and after two pints I actually quit drinking that night. Pretty disappointing. Savvy1982 (303), Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada Sep 24, 2009 Bottle. Poured a pale amber, with a thin white head, spotty lacing, and a bit of very persistent and swirling skim on top. Nose is nice and bitter, plenty of malt, no corn presence, hops are extremely nondescript, but present. Palate is very full and round, this reminds me of what Coors original tasted like, back when I was stealing sips of my Dad’s. Surprisingly nice. chainman (104), Ontario, Canada Sep 4, 2009 Many know the torrid history of Creemore, namely its absorption by Molson. For a while, afterward, things did indeed get off track for one of Ontario’s favourite indie lagers, as Molson foisted cheap malts upon the fine folks in Creemore, ON. I broke from Creemore Springs lager for a while (as did many, sadly), and returned just recently to find that much integrity has been restored to this wonderful beer. Pours a pleasing deep honey-gold with a fair head and nice lacing. Aroma is of rich, sweet malts. The flavor is back, if not more refined and consistent-tasting than the independant days. That of course means some of the old rough-hewn charm of this lager has vanished, but I believe a fair balance has been struck. Satisfying mouthfeel, and that reassuring feeling that you’re drinking something well-made. decimator (43), Ontario, Canada Aug 21, 2009 473ml can poured into a pint glass. Pours a dark gold with a hint of amber. Good foamy head but it didn’t last too long. Aroma of sweet malts and some hops. My first thought: It smells like beer. Taste has a good balance between the sweets malts and bitter hops. The mild bitter aftertaste has a bit of lasting power. Palate is very nice. Good carbonation, smooth and crisp with some creaminess and some stickiness. Flavorful and easy to drink. This is the first brew I’ve just had from Creemore Springs and I’m quite impressed. I will definitely be picking more of these up again in the near future.
