rederic (1787), montréal, Quebec, Canada Oct 31, 2006 473 ml can, bright amber-orangeish color, with a small beige head, clean toasted malt nose, with a faint fruity note, a subtle toffeeish accent, and a flowery hops aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a crisp bready malt character, a nutty note, hint of graininess, and a fruity orangeish flowery hops accent, a sweet toastiness, leading towards a mild hoppy dryness finish. RaphaelN (195), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada Oct 29, 2006 Updated: Sep 1, 2007Creamy, tasty lager. A little dry, with a very signature "canadian beer" taste. The head is medium-thin followed by a lacking palate. Interesting taste of spices for a lager. Not too bad of a brew, but I am yet to be impressed by a lager. Best of its style that I have had JonR888710 (999), Cochabamba, Bolivia Oct 23, 2006 I was pretty psyched to try this beer after all the good reviews. It looked great in the glass, cloudy/frothy and with a nice head. Body was yellowish but had a bit of the glowing orange effect I love on lagers. Smell was a little skunky though, and put me off a bit. Taste met expectations though with brilliant consistency and evenness of flavor and texture. Light alcohol... I could really drink a bunch of these I think. One question though, why does the bottle in the picture look like it has a twist off? sinkhole (176), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Oct 23, 2006 Updated: Nov 2, 2006Had the opportunity to try this on draught. Poured brownish-amber with a nice off white head. Flavour similar to bottle but blended together a bit better than the bottle. So I’ve bumped up the appearance and palate a couple of deserving points.
From bottle. Nice subtle aromas of sweet malt and a hint of fruit/florals. This carried through to the flavour, with a small bitter kick at the end. Surprisingly no harsh alcohol finish.
Overall a very nice selection. beerbreath (1), Rockwood, Ontario, Canada does not count Oct 20, 2006 Great little town to stop in for a beer on the way to the beach or skiing.Sweet with a light acohol taste. Skidds (252), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Oct 18, 2006 Updated: Aug 19, 2007Without a doubt the greatest premuim Lager I have tried...and I have tried many. Way to go Creemore. Dezzilu (211), Whitmore Lake, Michigan, USA Oct 16, 2006 A beautiful full-bodied lager with an incredibly, and rare, un-alcoholic finish. Tastes natural and not overprocessed.
One damn fine brew. Living in Europe I had my parents bring me a 12 pack in their carry-on luggage. The only real shame is that it is now associated with Molsons and Coors. kwoeltje (1313), Manchester, Missouri, USA Oct 13, 2006 Updated: Nov 1, 2008(bottle) light amber. Mild malt aroma with nice off-white head. Fairly crisp malt flavor. A pleasant lager.
