CountyHell (5), Ontario, Canada does not count Sep 28, 2006 This is an excellent beer right here. It has a very refreshing, clear flavour. I find it to have a slightly strong aftertaste, but that can be solved by taking another drink. This is for the bottle, by the way. On tap is a completely different ball game. markas101 (541), Fargo, North Dakota, USA Sep 28, 2006 Keg, my wedding, great beer. The Molson takeover is slightly overblown. packaging is different and the beer is definitlely altered but still far better than most out there for the style. Try it on tap, a far different experience than bottle/can. Nekronos (2261), Xalapa, Mexico Sep 26, 2006 Good lager, not chemical as most of them. Good foam and creamy taste. nice dark golden colour and good malty features. Slacks (481), Bolton, Ontario, Canada Sep 23, 2006 Draught @ The Black Bull, Bolton: This is a sad case, isn’t it? I recall this beer a number of years ago and it was quite a good lager. Molson promised they wouldn’t touch it but it’s quite obvious they have. Aroma smells of wet grass, giving way to a bit of sweet malt and hop if you can break through. Flavour isn’t offensive by any means, but nothing distinctive as it once was. Slight amounts of floral hops, I’m assuming mixed with generous generic inexpensive ones. Malt is heavy for the traditional Canadian lager with a touch of sweet, but it’s really become a bland interpretation of what I remember. Pity. beedman (53), Cocoa Beach, Florida, USA Sep 21, 2006 473 ml can. One of the first Canadian lagers I tried while in Ontario, quite a pleasant suprise. It’s quite dark as lagers go and has not much carbonation, but is very flavourfil; perhaps due to the spring water used and the lack of final pasteurisation. Wish I would have brought more home. CanadaCam (109), Canada Aug 19, 2006 473 ml can. Not too bad of a beer, but definetely not one I’d be queing up to buy again. It has a nice fruity aroma and pours a beautiful brown (more indicitive of a bitter, than a lager, but whatever), and it’s topped off with a lovely head. However, this beer looked better than it tasted. The head vanished rather quickley, although a slight webbing was left on the glass. The taste was a heavy burnt flavour that didn’t appeal to my palate. I’m willing to give this one another chance on draught, but I don’t think I’ll be buying another can of it. wollenscke (3), Ontario, Canada does not count Aug 15, 2006 I had this at a pub one night not knowing what it was. From the moment my lips touched this glorious beer I couldn’t and can’t stop drinking it. Always a pleasure to enjoy a pint of Creemore Springs. Nice smooth drink with a great colour and soft aftertaste. Cheers! yarry (370), Waterdown, Ontario, Canada Aug 3, 2006 473ml can, 5% a/v
Pours a gorgeous copper color with a foamy offwhite head. The nose consists of malt and some summer fruits. The taste is of malt with some spiciness. Absolutely delicious and good memories of new years! Goes down smooth with a soft aftertaste.
