mooser (13), Ontario, Canada May 4, 2006 trong fruity aroma with hoppy overtons. very pale golden color, crisp clean taste with just enough fruit/hops combination Thaichile (599), 10aFly, New Jersey, USA Apr 22, 2006 Bottle. Pours a clear amber without much head. Scents of bread and fruit on the nose. Taste is malt and fruit that cause use a bump up in both areas. It was pleasent enough and I guess compared to other macros it was good. An OK brew generally speaking. Thanks Blankboy for the bottle. Quevillon (1515), Sainte-Thérèse, Quebec, Canada Apr 12, 2006 Pas mauvais ça! Belle couleur d’or. Arome agréable de fruit légé, un peu d’houblon. Goût rafréchissant d’houblon et de malte d’orge. andrewface (3), Ontario, Canada does not count Apr 11, 2006 Golden brown/orange colour; beautiful apperance, starts off sweet almost fruity and ends slightly bitter. Can;t believe it’s pnly since 1987. Great beer beats a case of macro anyday! Brewmaster88 (53), Petrolia, Ontario, Canada Apr 1, 2006 (6-pack 341 ml LCBO Sarnia, Ont )Great all the way around. Sweet start and a nutty/slight bitter finish with roasty notes. I love the label "A hundred years behind the times"... take that macro swill! This beer is also guaranteed shipped weekly, so it says on the box. Doesn’t get much better than this! BytownJon (23), Ontario, Canada Mar 14, 2006 341ml bottle from 12pack. Pours a clear golden yellow, with small, creamy white head. Grainy, unrefined aroma. Taste can vary quite a bit, depending on age, batch and storage. Average carbonation. Average maltly flavour and noticeable sweetness, but good staying power and no acidic after flavour. As mentioned, overall flavour can vary from batch to batch unfortunately, so hopefully they’ll work on consistency and bumping up the flavour. biz82 (1328), austin, Texas, USA Mar 11, 2006 Clear gold with no head. Dirty/earthy, sweet malt and corn aroma. Distinct North American lager smell. Kinda reminds me of Grain Belt. Very sweet and corny in flavor with grainy notes and a fairly bitter finish. This one is definately over rated. DuffMan (2717), the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, Canada Feb 27, 2006 Clear orange amber. Aroma is hard-to-identify fruit-- apples maybe. Very smooth malt palate, slightly toasted, with definite fruity hop notes. This is a difficult beer to pin down, because it changes as it warms a little, and seems to change again with food. Excellent regardless.
