Sweet malt aroma, little hops.
Light sweet flavor with little bitterness. Smooth and filling for a Lager. Not bad. Tristan (14), Ontario, Canada

Not sure what will become of it as it progresses now after being bought out by Molson. But here is hoping they stay true!! HogTownHarry (3993), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada

Poured clear, bubbly, slightly reddish gold with a large, long-lasting, creamy-foamy straw coloured head. Aroma is very clean - slightly peppery mild hops, decent )non-corn) nutty malt, some woody yeastiness, hint of fruit and definitely spruce. Flavour is a good balance of barley/rye graininess, medium fresh hops, and enough mellow sweetish malt to keep it honest; still some wheat and forest notes on my palate. I can see what everyone means about the hard water - givees the beer quite a minerally mouthfeel. Starts balanced and finsihes quickly, not harsh at all. Still one of the good Ontario beers. ** update January 2007 - revisited it several times lately and this beer is just not what it was - still a very solid pale lager, but just not as crisp, nutty or distinctive as it once was - particularly on tap. shameusburp (171), Virginia, USA

Nice balanced malty sweetness set against slightly spicy hops and minerally backbone. The water in Creemore is very hard, making this beer unique. A faultless execution of a smooth drinker with a bit of individuality. jbrus (4845), Delft, Netherlands

My first beer in Canada this vacation bought at the LCBO under the Eaton Centre in Toronto which has a great selection of beers I must say. Typical hop aroma, very herbal. Even so herbal that it smelled a bit skunky. Amber color, beige head, good lace. Sweet, hint of caramel, herbal, soft. Is this a lager??? ryananderson (74), Ontario, Canada

Amber colour with average size white head and good lacing. Flavour is very well balanced - sweet, bitter, and some dryness. Medium body palate with low carbonation. The best lager I’ve tasted to date.
