JulienHuxley (165), Trois-Rivieres, Quebec, Canada Aug 16, 2009 Bottle. Nothing unpleasant about this beer, very subtle malt nose, with just long enough a finish to be considered among the good lagers. Enjoyability goes up with every degree in outside temperature. bhensonb (4182), Woodland, California, USA Aug 8, 2009 Can from matt7215. Thanks for a beer I’ve never heard of, from a place I’ve never heard of. Just consider me geographically challenged! Pours an amber tinged gold with a multifinger off-white head. Strong noble aroma over pale malt. Near medium body with frothy carbonation. Tastes mildly bready, and there’s a decent amount of hop. Not excessively bitter, but quite tasty. I like that it’s not pasteurized. Live beer is the best! Like this one. strowlands8 (75), Ontario, Canada Aug 3, 2009 Love this beer and am very pleased nothing has changed since they were taken over by molson. Probably my first choice at your average restaurant were good beer is hard to come by. Superb clean malt flavour, goes down easy with a nice mouthfeel and a slight malty aftertate. roder60 (1019), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 31, 2009 Had in the toronto airport. Darker gold clear color with slight white fizzy head. Nice full flavored and body, crisp slight metallic flavor with hayish dry finish. Enjoyable but not great. Jordiam (70), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Jul 27, 2009 This....beer.....is.....AWESOME! To say the least... I’ve had it in the can, bottle, and on draught. The most important thing for everyone to know is that IT IS BEST ON DRAUGHT!!! Seriously, I wasn’t into this too much until I tried it on tap and I can say it’s one of my new local favourites. Lovely, clean golden colour with a fresh aroma of wheaty, malty, goodness. The taste was right up my alley; nice, yeasty and malty taste.
Most importantly: the palate. If you’re rating this with a poor palate, you probably haven’t had it on tap, or the tap is old as hell. This is one of the smoothest mouthfeels ever! You finish the beer without even noticing. Too good! checkmatei1 (629), Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 23, 2009 Draft (in Niagra): Poured a copper color with a thin head. The aroma was malts and barley. The flavor was actually very smooth and tasty. I might have been the hot day, but this one was pretty good. hombrepalo (745), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jul 20, 2009 On tap at the moose something (dont remember) near the Rogers Centre. Copper color with a thin white head. Aroma of malt and grass. Medium-bodied; Astringent malt flavors up front, soon showing a bit sweeter tastes. Aftertaste is fairly bittering-not pleasant, but not horribly offensive. tgncc (796), Bellmore, New York, USA Jul 19, 2009 The last of the beers from my Canada excursion. Malty, mainly toasted malts, no hops, or anything else. The appearnace is slightly more orange than the regular pale lager, white head. The flavor is toasted malts, lightly skunky. The finish is swet malts, no hops, not clean at all. Thin/medium mouthfeel. Not good, but I’ve had worse. I’m surprised this rated so highly, when there are so many decent premium lagers out there.
