Yeah, twist-off bottle, time to give my church key a rest!
Clear amber color, decent layer of bubbly white foam.
Aroma, fresh, open, airy, and otherwise vapid.
taste: hmmm, eh, blah, and, otherwise, ordinary, some malt peeks through in the end, and shows some sweetness...not too terrible, after all, but not much else.
Not bad, but not all that ...well... anything...
light body, small texture, tiny finish...
inoffensive, though...
Doggythedog (1541), Split, Croatia Oct 3, 2004 Bottled 0.5 l. A golden amber colour, with a almost nonexistant white head. Probably the best lager I’ve ever tried. Has a nice and rich taste. A huge thanks goes to a friend who brought it from Canada. dirkules (613), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Sep 8, 2004 Updated: Sep 9, 2004Finally, a canadian lager I can completely get myself wrapped around. It’s a nice amber colour and although there are quite a few bubbles floating to the top there's really scant carbonation. The taste is woodsy and cirtus sweet with a malt to it. I wonder if creemore actually smells and tastes like this. I would definitely recommend this as the one off lager over all others to my friends. nickchalk (229), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Sep 1, 2004 Golden amber, off-white head. Quite hoppy for a lager, British-style hops mainly. Flavour is nicely balanced, malt is fresh. Tasty. Bottle. sleepdirt (169), Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada Aug 19, 2004 Nice hoppy ale, almost a cream ale.
Amber colour with strong hop/malt components. Floral notes with graham wafer finish. Although its a great beer, it’s not up to the hype. pintbypint (1002), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada Aug 1, 2004 Sample taken from 500ml screw top bottle. Pours dark gold, head is creamy white and long lasting. Richer and maltier than most Canadian lagers. PorterPounder (3132), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Jul 9, 2004 Dark golden pour, wispy white head, sticks around for a little bit. Decent aroma for a lager - has a slight smoky bent to it. Crisp flavor which also has that same slight smokiness that the aroma has. Has a little bit of hop bitterness mingled in there as well - a little bit more complex than most lagers. Mouthfeel is a tad thin and turns a bit metallic near the end. Still an above average lager though. mustang3 (254), Whitby, Canada Jun 22, 2004 Updated: Jun 24, 2004The one really good beer available at most bars in Ontario. Pours a nice translucent deep golden colour. There are really two tastes to Creemore the malty version when it first comes out of the fridge and the hops as it warms up. There is a nice malty nose to start and a well balanced flavour with malt up front and bitterness on the finish. As it warms up the hop flavours take over without really increasing the bitterness, just a wonderful citrusy flavour.
