I had this beer for the first time at a friend's house in Toronto in September 2001. I fell instantly enamored of it for its understated complexity, its sessionable quality and its moderate bitterness. Reminds me a bit of a poor man's Anchor Steam. Later on the same trip, I had an opportunity to visit the brewery in person in up-state Ontario. It is nestled in the beautiful small town of Creemore Springs. Unexpectedly they were having a festival of sorts that day, with tours and tastings. At that time, they only had the Lager (later added the Bock). I was hooked. It took me over two years to get another Creemore past my lips (same friend brought some to me in Wisconsin). This time I was less impressed, but that is perhaps due to it following a Stone Double Bastard, which methinks rendered my taste buds useless for the rest of the evening. Nevertheless I still enjoyed it. It has a bland, yeasty lager aroma. Amber in color with a large white head. Slow visible carbonation and head that is mostly eroding. Cookie notes on the tongue. Not as sweet as I remember. Nice cookie, malty finish. Mildly hoppy. Hop profile improves as it warms.

A very nice pilsener. Amber hue, nice lace. Fruity hop aroma, some sweet malt as well. Flavor was nicely balanced between malt and hops. Very smooth.

This is a very nice looking Pilsener. It pours a clear amber color with a bubbly off white head. The aroma is slightly malty. This is a pretty decent pilsener. I am not usually a fan of this style, but this was pretty well done. Thanks Mr_Kimchee

Outstanding looks. Amber, clear, extremely carbonated, medium rocky head that lasts very long and sticks the glass. Malty nose, lightly hoppy with flowers and earthy notes. Basically a very pleasant aroma. Very smooth mouthfeel, malty, salty even, it all heads toward a hoppy bitterness finish. The finish has an unpleasant feel though, almost paperish, slightly bitter and cerealic. The flavor development is not as balanced and easy-going than in a bitburger or czechvar. Certainly a good canadian product, but not as robust or complex as expected.

Darker than most lagers. Sweet, with a nice balance of hops and malts. Very slight metallic flavorings. Quality.

Golden coloured beer with a medium off white creamy head. Faint hop aroma. A light floral, yeasty hoppy taste. Neutral finish and light bitter aftertaste.

Decent fresh hoppy aroma with mild nutty graininess apparent. Creamy big thick white head on medium amber beer. Medium bitterness rounds out to sweet mildly nutty finish. Nice creamy full mouthfeel. Very drinkable if not entirely exciting. Bottle.

Nice clear amber color, small head. Fresh cereals, a bit of hopes, small citrus hints. Refreshing, thirst quenching, some breadiness in the finish.
