4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Many know the torrid history of Creemore, namely its absorption by Molson. For a while, afterward, things did indeed get off track for one of Ontario’s favourite indie lagers, as Molson foisted cheap malts upon the fine folks in Creemore, ON. I broke from Creemore Springs lager for a while (as did many, sadly), and returned just recently to find that much integrity has been restored to this wonderful beer. Pours a pleasing deep honey-gold with a fair head and nice lacing. Aroma is of rich, sweet malts. The flavor is back, if not more refined and consistent-tasting than the independant days. That of course means some of the old rough-hewn charm of this lager has vanished, but I believe a fair balance has been struck. Satisfying mouthfeel, and that reassuring feeling that you’re drinking something well-made.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Hadn’t had this in ages, as indicated by the fact I had never rated it here. On draft at Toronto Airport. Pours a medium gold, slight head. Aroma is slightly sweet light malts, faintly grassy hops. Flavor is a match, with the hops just barely kissing things. At least it wasn’t loaded with adjunct. Not bad for what it is, just what it is isn’t that great.

I’ve had a lot of this as its one of the better beers regularly found in bars. Clear pour, light amber colour with a thin white head. Crisp taste, no bad flavors at the end.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Carbonatation moyenne, corps moyen.

Its not bad for the style of beer. But boring compared to other styles of beers. Nothing to interesting here, easy drinking beer really.

Pas désagréable pour les lager mais je trouve que le goût s’estompe bien trop vite. Elle est bien sucrée et belle lorsqu’on la verse.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Well-balanced copper bitter bite with a roasted flavour. Hoppy! Hoorah! The bitter washes the tongue over and the carbonation sizzles just right. Everything about the taste is tops. As well, the honey sweet is more present in the taste as the beer warms.
An excellent beer for anytime or place. I love this beer and it loves me.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Bland caramel malt, herbal hops, with hints of minerals and egg notes all over. Head is small, frothy, white with good lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is clear light amber/orange. Flavor starts slightly sweet and lightly acidic, then finishes slightly sweet and lightly bitter. Palate is light to medium, watery with a livley carbonation. Not much to say about this typical Premium Lager, drinkable but that’s aboot it.

A funny story about my experiance wiith this beer. i was trippping on mushrooms with a friend and after wandering through the remote wilderness of the rocky mountains we stumbled across a random beer bottle in the absolute middle of nowhere and it was unopened. thirsty as hell after being up all night we cracked it open and to my surprise happened to be one of the best lagers ive ever had (could have been the shrooms). the perfect brew to watch the epic sunrise and end a quite enjoyable trip.
