sinkhole (121), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Oct 23, 2006 Updated: Nov 2, 2006 Had the opportunity to try this on draught. Poured brownish-amber with a nice off white head. Flavour similar to bottle but blended together a bit better than the bottle. So I’ve bumped up the appearance and palate a couple of deserving points.
From bottle. Nice subtle aromas of sweet malt and a hint of fruit/florals. This carried through to the flavour, with a small bitter kick at the end. Surprisingly no harsh alcohol finish.
Overall a very nice selection.
mmacleod75 (2), Clinton, Ontario, Canada does not count Oct 10, 2008 Pours nice, great golden color, smooth, just the right amount of sweetness. Overall excellent. Have had draft, bottle and can. All great!! KyotoLefty (202), Kyoto, Japan Sep 20, 2008 On tap somewhere in Toronto.
Light amber color with a fine head. Malt-centered aroma with caramel. Big malt flavor, caramel, nuts, amber malts. Almost a Vienna. Decent hops. A decent malty lager, though not really special. pacaus (42), Dublin, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 17, 2008 Definitely a great tasting lager! If I were drinking a lager this be one of my preferred ones everettvh (30), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA Aug 30, 2008 473 ml can from LCBO. A great looking dark amber lager, with a short white head. Good lacing. Slightly flowered aroma. Very creamy mouthfeel. Balanced flavor. My new favourite Canadian lager. jmikolich (363), Athens, Ohio, USA Aug 21, 2008 on Tap @ Tortilla Flats Toronto, sold as a dark lager, taste is just like Sam Adams Boston Lager from the states, light hoppy balanced taste with a crisp clean finish what more can you hope for.
