3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Spab (1195) - Toronto, - APR 19, 2009
Draught at McSorley’s. Pours a clear golden amber with decent sized white head. Mild caramel malt aroma with slight fruitiness. Nice sweet caramel malty flavour with again a hint of fruitiness. Smooth mouthfeel. Still have a soft spot for this - an enjoyable lager.

473ml can. Aroma is bad - if not skunky. My third can and no difference. My Last one too! Hard to believe my favourite (ur Bock) comes from the same brewery! Small off-white head which dies on arrival. Fairly good lace afterward. (Lovibond 12) Amber body. Tastes of heavy hops. Lightly acidic/alcoholic. Even a salty character at times. Good carbonation. Grassy aftertaste - something thick left on the tongue to really leave a bad taste in your mouth.

These guys and gals are so, so good at what they do. When visiting family near Creemore it’s all they’ve got. This is my uncle’s favourite beer nowadays, and he claims that he no longer feels the need to buy German beer as Creemore has not only caught up to their brews but surpassed them. Did I mention my uncle is from Bavaria?

473ml can. Poured golden with a light fluffy head that disapated quickly. Slight carbonation. Smooth, medium-bodied with a slightly bitter finish. A solid lager; would make a good balcony brew.

355ml bottle pours a deep golden color with 2 fingers of off-white head that leaves some respectable lacing on the glass. Aroma is lightly toasted grains and faint citrus hops. Taste is light malty sweetness with a mild toasty bitterness and some citrus hop bitterness and a mild earthiness. Finishes clean with a nice feeling on the palate. This is one of the better lagers out there.

On tap. Pours dark gold. Fruity (apple), malty, floral and slight doughy aroma. smooth medium body. A little sweet. Dry finish. Theres nothing exceptional, but you can find this local beer anywhere and it’s a solid creamy lager.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 jrizko (42) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - MAR 6, 2012
UPDATED: APR 6, 2012 (Second Rating, Home, New 341mL Bottle, Lager Glass, 5% ABV, Chilled, 06/04/12. #12-37.)
Appearance (4/5): Pours a gorgeous, clear, deep honey color. Frothy, off white, three finger, lasting head with decent lacing. Quite dark for a lager.
Aroma (6/10): Lots of nutty grains, caramel, and vanilla with delightful notes of citrus, apple, grass, and nuts.
Taste (7/10): Begins with sweet malt and citrus, slightly acidic, which decays into a moderate length, lightly bitter finish. Well balanced and interesting.
Palate (4/5): Medium bodied, lively carbonation, slightly creamy mouthfeel that turns a little dry. Clean, refreshing finish.
Overall (14/20): Absolutely delicious, drinkable beer. Definitely my favorite everyday lager. I always keep it in the fridge. Well balanced, refreshing, surprisingly well bodied and flavorful.
Drinkability: 4/5. Character: 3/5. Buy Again: Definitely Yes.

The Beer Store 473ml can: Pours a golden colour with a white head. Aroma is pretty light and bready. A little bit of grain is in there as well. Taste is a little sweet, especially towards the finish. Hops are present, but they are extremely mild. Has some grainy lager tastes. Overall, this is a good lager, but not what I was expecting with a rating this high.

Wasn't overly impressed with it when purchased in bottle other than beautiful amber slightly orange colour (darker than most pale lagers). Had several pints at local bar and grill, Stokes, March 2012, and it was better. Same grainy aroma slightly sweet. Medium to small head dissipates quickly but leaves a trace along wall of glass for several minutes before clearing. Tasted sweet, more caramel than fruit. Big difference was less bitter or acidic from keg than in bottle. Average beer that I will only drink at settings that have standard beer offerings.
2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 worldbeertaste (619) - Lancashire, ENGLAND - FEB 19, 2012
Dark copper with a light thin head. Smooth. Light hay, fruit and a light sulpher with caramel smell. Taste of soft malt, roast and a light caramel. Some fruity hops with a sweet and dry finish. Medium crisp body. Enjoyable but still a simple lager.

500ml can. Light amber pour with very little head that disappears in no time. Smells like grain and apple juice. Tastes mainly of grain with a hint of bitterness. Finishes with a gross green graininess.
