Indeed, this is a light-bodied pilsner with minimal taste. Unoffensive, unintruding, not a great example of the style yet you won’t be offended by its taste. It’s one of those proof-of-concept beers you often get from a micro - sure you can do it, but what do you intend to do with it?

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Canette 473ml.

can poured into weizen glass. Golden colour. Aroma of breads, grains, malts, a little metallic. Taste is malty with a back of the tongue bitter touch. Agree with others who would prefer more hop profile, however this is still quite refreshing and a pretty good pils.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: OCT 4, 2011 My Bottom Line:
Well developed pils malts linger atop this Bohemian-style Pilsener’s subtle herbal hoppiness, building a quenching, well-made example of the style.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A fast dissipating head of foam fails to garnish the misty golden for very long.
-I like the fact that the malt character, lightly toasted, is delicate yet stays long enough to accompany the hops into the aftertaste.
-The body is svelte, perfect for quaffing.
-The forced carbonation doesn’t get in the way of flavor too much, but it does seem a tad zealous in the mouthfeel.
-I would have liked the hops to be a tad more assertive. As is, the finish is balanced, but the aroma and flavor profile are malt-driven.
-This might be a run-of-the-mill BoPils for the Czech Republic, but if you are a fan of the style like I am, you will surely find this quite pleasurable AND authentic. I’d love to have access to this fresh, on tap.

Pale golden pour. The aroma is actually quite fresh. Softly herbal/floral hoppy aroma along with a fresh malt character along with a bit of light soft sweetness. The beer is quite balanced with a really great fresh character. The ratings for this aren’t all that good, but I imagine myself buying a whole lot of this if it tastes like this all the time.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
A minimal white foam settles above the clear golden hue. Very soft bready maltiness meets a sulphury egginess in the nose that is not disturbing per se, but a bit annoying considering the timidity of the other ingredients. In mouth, the herbal hops do provide a fair bitterness, but it comes with metallic hints. Besides, the malts remain a bit dull, I tasted it on parallel with an Urquell and the latter felt rounder, more accomplished and surprisingly more fresh despite the long "road". On top of it, the forced carbonation feels a bit too much for a pils, thinning it, bringing a metallic acidity and biting the tongue more than providing a crispiness. It remains a type of beer I appreciate, but for a relatively fresh can, I’m a bit disappointed and won’t try again, preferring all their other beers. I sure dug their Kellerbier a whole lot more.

Fine and all, but not really much of an upgrade from the yellow-fizzy macros. Bit of hops, bit of bitterness on the finish, but not a lot of anything to make it stand out.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
500 ml can. Pours clear, brilliant bright golden in colour, with small white head, leaves a little lace. Aroma and taste are well balanced sweet pilsner malt and noble hops. Great Pilsner!

pours clear golden with a more than decent head. malts, sweet malts and an ok hop profile from start to finish, short finish though. really lacks some pilsner hops... light to medium body, goes down smooth, high drinkability. don’t get me wrong, it’s a good lager, but not that much of a pilsner...
