(2002 Vintage). Dark amber w/ good clarity. Malty aroma that is somewhat peppery. Full bodied. Rich maltiness w/ caramel notes. A little peppery. Just enough bitterness to balance the sweetness.

Sweet caramel aroma, clear garnet, large toffee head. Lace was nice too. Roasted malt, and nutty flavour, pleasantly bitter. Bold, with good mouthfeel. A fine local Bock!

Slightly Germanic malty aroma. Not much in the way of flavor. Slight bitter tang is the extent of this beer, though despite that, it sits well on the tongue.

Caramel and hints of port in the aroma. Brown, off-white frothy head, good lace. Light sweet, nice hops, could use more body. Bit roasted finish with some bitterness.

UPDATED: DEC 1, 2007 I don’t know much about bocks, but I know what I like. Has the tasty, smoky characteristics you’d expect, like a severely souped-up Creemore with a touch of fruitiness. You can’t go wrong. Note: If you’ve got any of the older stuff lying around (pre-Molson), age it well. Give it about five years and it’s a very good sipping beer.

Pours a nice deep brown, light brown head and fair lace. Nose is malt with a tad of sweetness, start is malt, the middle is medium, the finish is dry, lightly carbonated, and just a tad of hops. Not bad, Thanks Shorlin
