Subtle aroma, mostly smells of a stronger alcohol beer. Thick frothy head, dark golden amber colour, looks very appetizing. Molasses flavour with bitter notes. Would drink again but not my first choice of dark lager.

Harsh taste, typical bock like flavour, but this one wasnt too great. I am not likely to drink this beer again anytime soon

473 can from LCBO poured into Creemore Springs tulip glass. Beautiful ruby colour, quickly disappearing fizzy head. Aroma of malts and nut. Taste is sweet with nice long bitter finish. Really like this beer, tasty and warm on a cold winter evening.

UPDATED: JAN 27, 2011 could have been much darker, more body to it. pale brown, good malty nose, nice caramel malts with a hint of sweetness, nuts, toast, metallic notes, little alcohol feel, strong and present noble hops. nice.

Another nice seasonal by Creemore. Nice to see the variety of styles they are bringing out. Caramel malt body with hints of hazelnut dark chocolate. Deep red-brown almost amber colour with a white head which fizzes out pretty quickly. 6% alcohol rounds it nicely with a mellow warmth.

Pretty decent offering from Creemore. Pours brown with a frothy head. Aroma is nutty, and pretty heavy in malt sweetness.

Impressive beer, and even more impressive lager. Roasty malt and hops wrapped up in lingering alcoholic sweetness. Great bock, I’ll be having this again.

473ml can. Pours a ruby brown colour with a beige head. Aroma is sweet malt, with faint resin, caramel, and not much else. It’s mighty faint. Taste is sweet malt, dried fruits, with brown sugar notes, bread crust, and with some dried cherry and dates in the spicy finish. Sugar notes. Lots of ’em. Not bad, but a wee bit on the sweet side for me.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 thb (484) - Alberta, CANADA - NOV 4, 2010
Pours rich mahogany with thin-ish but enduring head. Aroma would suggest this is a one-track biscuity maltfest but the first sip reveals theres more to it than that. Malt is still pretty big, medium sweet. Substantial bitterness throughout. Just perceptible warming alcohol touch. Malt character comes through more as it warms. Some fruitiness. Something that tastes burnt. I want to like this more than I do.
